Nick Cosato Wins Del Mar Fall Challenge, 2022 BCBC Entry

Nick Cosato from Sierra Madre, CA, scored huge in the last race of the Del Mar Fall Challenge played on-track at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar, Calif., or online through TVG.com. Cosato, lying second going into the last race, vaulted into the lead and more with large exacta and trifecta payoffs totaling more than $18,000 for a final score of $29,602.

In addition to Cosato's bankroll winnings, he receives $20,500 in cash and a $10,000 Breeders Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) 2022 entry.

Second place finisher Michael Webb of Jessup, MD ended with a bankroll of $19,624 and a cash prize of $10,500. Kevin Bogart finished third good for $7,500 in prizes. Both Christy and Kevin also receive $10,000 BCBC entries.

Third and fourth-place finishers Dylan Donnelly from Rancho Cucamonga and Jorge Palza of Richmond, CA both won BCBC $10,000 entries.

Donnelly and 5th place finisher Eric Roth win 2022 National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) entries.

The live money Challenge had a buy-in of $3,000 with $2,000 going to the player starting bankroll and $1,000 to the prize pool.

Del Mar Fall Challenge Handicapping Contest On Saturday

The Del Mar Fall Challenge, a one-day handicapping contest involving 85 big bettors from across the country participating in a $3,000 “buy-in” tournament, will be conducted Saturday at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar, Calif.

Of the $3,000 entry fee, $1,000 goes to the prize pool and $2,000 is loaded onto an account wagering card for “live money” wagers. Players may participate on-track at Del Mar or online through TVG.com. Wagering from the Challenge participants is expected to be nearly $350,000.

The Challenge is conducted on-track in the Seabiscuit Skyroom. However, players may wager on any SAM betting machine throughout the facility. Challenge players will check-in Saturday between 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the umbrella table in front of the Executive Offices.

Timothy Yohler Wins Del Mar Fall Challenge Handicapping Contest

Timothy Yohler of Fisher, Ind., scored huge in the last race to win the Del Mar Fall Challenge handicapping contest. Yohler vaulted into the lead with large exacta and trifecta wagers turning his final $1,500 in bankroll into $30,180.

In addition to Yohler's bankroll winnings, he receives $35,000 in cash and a $10,000 2021 Breeders Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) entry.

Second place finisher Christy Moore ended with a bankroll of $24,840 and a cash prize of $19,000. Kevin Bogart finished third good for $7,500 in prizes. Both Christy and Kevin also receive $10,000 BCBC entries for next year's Breeders Cup held at Del Mar.

The Challenge buy-in was $4,000 with $3,000 going to the player starting bankroll and $1,000 to the prize pool which offered $100,000 in total prizes.
