Miss Besilu , who topped the weanling section as part of the Ned Evans dispersal at Keeneland November in 2011 on Ben Leon's bid of $2.6 million, is a daughter of SW & GSP Quiet Dance (Quiet American), the dam of Horse of the Year Saint Liam (Saint Ballado); GISW sire Funtastic (More Than Ready); and GSW Quiet Giant (Giant's Causeway), the dam of the wildly successful sire and Horse of the Year Gun Runner (Candy Ride {Arg}). The MGSP third dam Here I Go (Mr. Prospector) was the dam of five winners from seven to the races including 2005 GI Kentucky Oaks heroine Summerly (Summer Squall). CIRCLE OF JOY (JPN) (f, 2, Constitution–Mirth, by Colonel John) is the first foal from her dam, all-the-way winner of the 2019 GI Rodeo Drive S. for Little Red Feather and Phil D'Amato and later purchased by Katsumi Yoshida for $1.05 million with this filly in utero at FTKNOV in 2020. Mirth is a half-sister to Grade II winner Vault (Jump Start) and Call Me Andy (Midshipman), twice stakes-placed at two this term. Third dam Orrefor (Our Native) produced some top Illinois-breds for Asiel Stables, including MSW/MGISP Copper State (Jump Start), MSW Bonita Meadow (Meadowlake) and the dam of fellow MSW Caruso (Cape Canaveral). Third dam Cherry Hinton (GB) (Green Desert) was herself a daughter of the magnificent Urban Sea (Miswaki), the dam of the legendary Galileo (Ire), Sea The Stars (Ire), etc. Cherry Hinton's GI Belmont Oaks-winning daughter Athena (Ire) (Camelot {GB}) has accounted for Never Ending Story (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), victorious in this year's G3 Leopardstown 1000 Guineas Trial before finishing runner-up in this year's G1 Prix de Diane. Vino Rosso’s Wine Me Up Gutsy on Del Mar Unveiling

3rd-Del Mar, $84,500, Msw, 9-2, 2yo, 6f, 1:11.43, ft, 1 1/2 lengths.
WINE ME UP (c, 2, Vino Rosso–Deanaallen'skitten {SW, $374,246}, by Kitten's Joy) found his feet after bobbling a touch at the jump and took no time getting to the front, speeding through :22.01, and :45.44 early splits as D'Oro Dash (Bolt d'Oro) hounded him from second as part of the lead trio. Vying with challengers through the turn, Wine Me Up had to dig, but found more in the stretch to kick away from his longtime shadow and score by 1 1/2 lengths.

Out of an accomplished racemare, the victor is the fifth to get his picture taken for the dam and has a yearling full-brother waiting in the wings. That sibling is thus far the last registered offspring as Deanallen'skitten did not catch in 2023. She visited Highly Motivated for 2024. Wine Me Up is Vino Rosso's ninth winner among multiple on the day. 'Insights' runner Arthur (Uncle Mo) finished eighth while $1.25m FTSAUG purchase Mc Vay (Constitution) placed one above him. Saturday’s Racing Insights: $1.25M Constitution Colt Set For Juvenile Debut At Del Mar

3rd-DMR, $82K, Msw, 2yo, 6f, 5:30 p.m.
As the summer winds down, there is still more than enough time for juvenile first timers to make their debut. At Del Mar, $1.25-million Fasig-Tipton Yearling Sale buy MC VAY (Constitution) is set for his inaugural trip. Out of Dothraki Sea (Union Rags), who counts both GISW Dixie Chatter (Dixie Union) and GSW Rumor (Indian Charlie) as half-siblings, the dark bay colt is trained by John Shirreffs and will be ridden by Mike Smith.

Also entered is $250,000 Keeneland September Yearling Sale grad and $675,000 OBS April Sale purchase Arthur (Uncle Mo). Second dam SW Star of Goshen (Lord At War), who is a half-sister to MGSW Powis Castle (Rare Brick), is responsible for GI Santa Anita Derby champ and runner-up in the GI Kentucky Derby Pioneerof the Nile (Empire Maker). Shifting to the Saratoga grass, Zverev (Oscar Performance) makes his first start after bringing $170,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale before fetching $330,000 at this year's OBS April Sale. The Cherie DeVaux trainee with Ricardo Santana up, is out of MGISW Balance (Thunder Gulch), who is a half-sister to Horse of the Year Zenyatta (Street Cry {Ire}) and SW Where's Bailey (Aljabr)–dam to two-time GIII Yellow Ribbon H. heroine She's Not Here (Street Cry {Ire}) and her son, GSP Talk of the Nation (Quality Road).

Trained by Chad Brown and with Manny Franco in the irons, another interesting entrant here is $220,000 Keeneland September Sale graduate Walley World (More Than Ready). His dam Forced Family Fun (Uncle Mo), a half-sister to MGSP Cat Burglar (Unbridled's Song), were both produced by Be My Prospect (Forest Wildcat)–half-sister to MGSP Away (Dixieland Band), the dam of MGSW Eight Belles (Unbridled's Song). Over on the Spa main, Justifiably So (Justify), a $375,000 Fasig-Tipton Yearling Sale purchase, is related to race six's Walley World in that he is out of that runner's second dam, Be My Prospect. The juvenile debuts for Nick Zito with Ricardo Santana at the controls.

Trainer Bill Mott and Junior Alvarado team with Godolphin's well-bred Jefferson Street (Street Sense). Out of an extended female family which includes first-crop sire MGISP Solomini (Curlin), the dark bay colt's dam Apiary (Bernardini) is a full-sister to GIII Go For Wand S. hero Indulgent and a half-sister to MGISW Frosted (Tapit). Thursday’s Insights: Constitution Colt Looks To Author Juvenile Score

The European-style grass course situated on the Kentucky side of the southern border with Tennessee cards a maiden finale which draws $450,000 Keeneland September graduate from last year, PUBLIUS (Constitution). Bred by Twin Creeks Farm, the bay colt debuts out of Sharp Instinct (Awesome Again), who is the dam of seven winners from nine to race. The Brad Cox trainee, ridden by Florent Geroux, is a half-brother to GIII Excelsior S. hero Send It In (Big Brown).

Also entered is the well-bred Tapitoro (Tapit), who was purchased by De Meric Sales for $170,000 at the Keeneland September Sale and was pinhooked for $300,000 during OBS April Sale. Second dam Wild Forest (Forest Wildcat) is a half-sister to GSW and English GSW Tajaaweed (Dynaformer) and digging a little deeper under the fourth dam we find MGSW and GISP Mr. Greeley (Gone West) and GISW Mona de Momma (Speightstown).
