Alain and Gerard Wertheimer's GOLDISTYLE (IRE) (Dubawi {Ire}) is a daughter of storied MG1SW superstar Goldikova (Ire) (Anabaa) and makes her second start returning off an Apr. 6 debut third–behind the 'TDN Rising Star' display of Wensleydale (GB) (Frankel {GB})–tackling one mile at Saint-Cloud. Opposition to the Carlos Laffon-Parias trainee includes Teruya Yoshida's homebred four-race maiden Sentimental Mambo (GB) (Deep Impact {Jpn}), who is out of Goldikova's MG1SW contemporary Stacelita (Fr) (Monsun {Ger}) and represents the Andre Fabre stable.

Freshman Sire Almanzor Off The Mark At Chantilly

Haras d'Etreham-based Almanzor (Fr) (Wootton Bassett {GB}) became the latest European freshman sire off the mark when Francis-Henri Graffard trainee Faro de San Juan (Ire) notched a debut win in Chantilly's Prix du Soleil de Bretagne. Prominent throughout, the 160,000gns Tattersalls December foal and 13-10 favourite ran on well in the closing stages of the 5 1/2-furlong newcomers' test to score by a half length from Perfect Colour (GB) (Ultra {Ire}).

FARO DE SAN JUAN (IRE) (c, 2, Almanzor {Fr}–Fixette {Ire} {MGSP-Fr}, by Kodiac {GB}) recovered from an early bump to race on the front end after the initial strides of this debut. Edging ahead before halfway, the 13-10 favourite was nudged along approaching the final furlong and ridden out late to prevail by a half length from Perfect Colour (GB) (Ultra {Ire}), becoming the first winner for his freshman sire (by Wootton Bassett {GB}). Half to a yearling filly by No Nay Never, he is the first of two foals produced by G3 Prix du Bois and G3 Prix de Cabourg runner-up Fixette (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), herself a granddaughter of G3 Noblesse S. second Unique Pose (Ire) (Sadler's Wells). Monday's Observations features a full-brother to Finche (GB) (Frankel {GB}).

3.45 Chantilly, Mdn, €27,000, 3yo, c/g, 10fT
BARATTI (GB) (Frankel {GB}) is a significant Juddmonte-Andre Fabre newcomer on the card, being a full-brother to Finche (GB) who captured the 2017 G2 Prix Eugene Adam for these connections and who was a close third in the G1 Turnbull S. in October. Also a half-brother to the high-class group and grade I winners Byword (GB) (Peintre Celebre) and Proviso (GB) (Dansili {GB}), he is the sole debutante of the 10-strong field.

Tuesday's observations features a Frankel (GB) half-brother to MG1SW Nazeef (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}).

INTEGRANT (FR) (Frankel {GB}) is a son of the G3 Prix Vanteaux-placed Via Manzoni (Ire) (Monsun {Ger}) who cost Hisaaki Saito 525,000gns at the 2019 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1. Henri Devin has charge of the newcomer, one of a clutch of European purchases made by Chauvigny Equine Global on behalf of Japan's emerging force.

 

6.15 Newcastle, Novice, £5,300, 3yo/up, 7f 14y (AWT)
MOSTAHDAF (IRE) (Frankel {GB}) is another notable newcomer on the day by the Juddmonte powerhouse, this time running for Shadwell and the John Gosden stable on the Tapeta. A half-brother to connections' G1 Falmouth S. and G1 Sun Chariot S. heroine Nazeef (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}), the May-foaled homebred is ahead of schedule in relation to that high-class half-sibling, who made her racecourse bow as a 3-year-old as late as June.
