Gulfstream: Friday’s Rainbow 6 Pool Guaranteed At $1.4 Million, Mandatory Payout Sunday

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $1.4 million Friday at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 20th consecutive racing program Thursday, when multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $19,090.84.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

A mandatory payout of the entire Rainbow 6 pool is scheduled for Sunday.

Friday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-9, including a first-level optional claiming allowance at five-furlongs on the turf carded as Race 8. Ken McPeek-trained Lemniscate returns to turf for his second start off a four-month layoff. The 4-year-old son of Exchange Rate broke his maiden on turf at Gulfstream in March 2019.

Races 8 and 9, a mile race for $10,000 maiden claimers, are also included in the sequence for Friday's Stronach 5, a $1 wager with a guaranteed pool of $100,000. The Stronach 5 will be kicked off by Race 6 at Laurel Park, followed by Gulfstream's Race 8, Laurel's Race 7, Gulfstream's Race 9 and Laurel's Race 8.

Gulfstream will offer live racing programs on a Thursday through Sunday schedule for the remainder of the Spring/Summer Meet.

Thursday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 5-10, including a $54,500 optional claiming allowance for 3-year-old fillies. Charles Town’s Thursday Card Features $36,290 Pick 5 Carryover

In addition to 8 races this Thursday night, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races is also pleased to offer its horseplayers a Pick 5 carryover of $36,290 following a trio of longshots finding the winners' circle during the sequence on Saturday evening.
