Following on from this week's Premier Yearling Sale, the Goffs UK sale ring in Doncaster will be in action again on Wednesday, Sept. 8 when 165 lots have been catalogued for the September HIT Sale. Notably, the catalogue contains 42 lots from the Gigginstown House Stud Dispersal, including the 8-year-old Grade 1-winning hurdler and chaser Battleoverdoyen (Ire) (Doyen {GB}), who sells as lot 56.
A mixture of Flat and National Hunt prospects, the sale features horses from a number of leading yards in Britain and Ireland. Among a handful of unraced horses listed is Banjo Petra (GB) (Yeats {Ire}), a half-sister to the dual Grade 1-winning hurdler Banjo Pete (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) who is offered as lot 34 from the stable of Rebecca Menzies.
“This sale has become synonymous with the annual Gigginstown House Stud Dispersal which once again headlines with a large draft featuring some household names and we are very grateful to the Gigginstown team for entrusting their draft to Goffs and this sale,” said Goffs UK Managing Director Tim Kent.
“Goffs UK horses-in-training graduates are having a strong year on the track, headlined by the Grade 1 winners Ahoy Senor, who impressively captured the Sefton Novices' Hurdle at Aintree's Grand National Festival, and Stormy Ireland, who was sold via Goffs Online, and subsequently won the G1 Mares' Champion Hurdle at Punchestown.”
