Gris de Gris Filly Tops Auctav May Sale

Consigned by trainer Daniela Mele, Houka D'Oudairies (Fr) (Gris de Gris {Ire}) (lot 6) topped the Auctav May Sale at €101,000 to NBB Racing on Wednesday. The grey AQPS, who will be trained in England by Gary Moore, had been successful in a pair of bumpers on Apr. 25 and May 20 in France.

A share in trotting stallion Boccador de Simm (Rieussec) (lot 3) sold for €23,500 to Christophe Bridault, while Trotting Bloodstock bought a share in Gu D'Heripre (Coktail Jet) (lot 10) for €42,000.

“Buyers and sellers are now familiar with the Auctav brand and we are pleased with the confidence that more and more people have placed in us,” said Auctav Director Arnaud Angeliaume. “In this sale, the team is obviously happy that the quality lots have been sold, but also that we are proving that we are truly a sales site for all budgets. This shows that Auctav can sell high-end horses as wel as those that will find their place in all levels in France and Europe.”

Auctav Releases Latest Online Catalogue

New French sales company Auctav has unveiled the entries for its fourth online sale, which is to be held on Wednesday, May 26, from 5pm to 7pm.

The mixed sale consists of 14 lots ranging from unbroken young stock, horses in training, trotters and a trotting stallion share. 

Among the Thoroughbred offerings is the 5-year-old mare Penjing (Fr) (Olympic Glory {Ire}), who is sold in foal to Kendargent (Fr) and with a colt foal at foot by Galiway (GB). Consigned by Haras des Marais, the unraced mare is a half-sister to the Australian Group 3 winner Prince Cheri (Fr) (Lando {Ger}).

The jumping stock offered for sale includes 5-year-old AQPS gelding Georges Saint (Fr) (Lord Du Sud {Fr}), a dual winner over fences at Compiegne and Pau.

Latest Auctav Catalogue Released

A catalogue of 23 horses–divided between trotting, Flat and National Hunt offerings–has been released for the Apr. 21 Auctav Sale. Among the Flat lots of interest is unraced 2-year-old filly Lanesend (Fr) (Sommerabend {GB}) (lot 3), consigned by P. Van de Poele, who is a half-sister to the SP Lord Achilles (Fr) (Rio de la Plata), while Jane Soubagne will offer lot 17, the winning sophomore gelding Sweeper Chop (Fr) (Goken {Fr}). There are also yearlings by Dariyan (Fr) (lot 4) and Zarak (Fr) (lot 10), a colt and filly, respectively. Sweet To Remember (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}) (lot 8) hails from Elevage des Trois Rivieres and the Flat lots are rounded out by 5-year-old mare Queen Flawless (Fr) (Makfi {GB}) (lot 24) from Haras de Fresneaux. Bidding will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (UK/Ire time) and to bid, prospective buyers must register at www.auctav.com.

Latrobe Breeding Right For Sale On Auctav

A 2021 breeding right to G1 Irish Derby winner Latrobe (Ire) (Camelot {GB}) is among the 12 lots on offer for the inaugural Auctav online sale on Mar. 31. Racehorses, stallion shares, foals and 2-year-olds from the flat, National Hunt and trotting realms will be auctioned on the platform from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. French time. The offerings also include a broken-in filly from the first crop of Recorder (GB) (Galileo {Ire}).
