Two Lots for Auctav April Flash Sale

The Auctav April Flash Sale, featuring two lots, is set to take place this month from 6-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 7.

The first lot is Johannes (Fr) (French Fifteen {Fr}), a recent 10-length winner at Saumur and a half-brother to black-type earner Jasnin (Fr) (Palace Episode). His dam, Jaillissante (Fr) (Verglas {Ire}), is full-sister to Joursanvault (Fr), who already has produced five winners.

The other lot on offer is AQPS Jumper Sacre (Fr) (Triple Threat {Fr}). He hails from the family of Sprinter Sacre (Fr) (Network {Ger}) and his dam, Belle et Sacree (Fr) (Fragrant Mix {Ire}), has already produced three winners.

Cokoriko Mare Best Of The NH Offerings At Auctav March

Offered as lot 8 by Chauvigny Global Equine SASU, Etoile Du Ficheaux (Fr) (Cokoriko {Fr}) brought €58,000 from Anne-Marie and Jamie Shepperd at the Auctav March Sale on Tuesday. In foal to Saint Des Saints (Fr), the 8-year-old mare was placed in the G3 Prix Sagan.

Dream Ahead 2-year-old colt Perhaps Traou Land (Fr) (lot 9), part of the Ecurie Edouard Monfort draft, attracted a bid of €22,000 from Arch Marlon. The Arabian Alobayyah (Fr) (Al Mourtajez {Fr}) (lot 5) brought €62,000 from Alban de Mieulle to top the sale overall. The chestnut was consigned by trainer Xavier Thomas-Demeaulte.

Arnaud Angeliaume, Auctav general manager, said “I am very pleased with the very versatile catalog we were offering at this sale and which totally fits with the spirit of these monthly sales. Our lots seduced the French and international buyers. Thanks to all the sellers who put their trust in us.”

Three Lots Added To Auctav March Sale

Three more lots have been added to the Auctav March Sale set for Mar. 29. Dream Ahead 2-year-old Perhaps Traou Land (Fr) (lot 8) is a half-brother to seven winners and will be offered by trainer Edouard Monfort.

Monfort said, “This colt is still growing. He should be ready late spring or early summer. I bought him at the sales, I liked him a lot. He is a late season-born colt. He is well made and has a good temper. From what he shows in the morning, he is very “Dream Ahead”, more of a speed and short-distance oriented horse.”

There is also a 1/60th share in Group 1 sire Complacent (Aus) (lot 3B) set to go under the hammer, as well as a 1/90th share in trotting stallion Feeling Cash (Fr) (lot 10).

Prince Gibraltar Filly Leads Auctav March Sale

The first lots for the March Auctav Sale catalogue are now online and the list includes recent Fontainebleau maiden winner Soleil d'Arizona (Fr) (Prince Gibraltar {Fr}), a 3-year-old daughter of SW Roxanne (Fr) (Falco). The bay filly won the 2200 metre test on Mar. 8 by two lengths.

“She's a very good filly who still has some margin,” trainer Francois Monfort said. “Soleil d'Arizona will only get better. She came back from her race very well. For her debut, she needed some rhythm, that's why I chose to run her in a maiden rather than a beginner's race. Her jockey Tony Piccone really liked her. She is perfect in condition and will really come into her own mentally and physically over the summer. She has never had any health problems, and she is learning extremely fast.”
