Auctav Launches Exclusively Flat Sale

Auctav will host its sale of foals, yearlings, broodmares, and horses in training at Haras de Bois Roussel Oct. 14, with inspections taking place Oct. 12-13.

The exclusively Flat sale auction will be held both on site and online.

“Thanks to our installation at Bois Roussel, we can expand our ambitions and provide optimized conditions for hosting horses,” Arnaud Angéliaume, CEO of Auctav, said. “Our first visitors were so impressed that it quickly became evident to establish this new sale for flat horses. We are delighted to have met their requirements, and we are excited about hosting this sale. Only 100 lots will be offered in the catalogue, and we have already made a rich selection from sellers who have encouraged and supported Auctav in this new option for participants in flat racing in France.”

‘Strong Prospect’ — Go Athletico Brings 165k On Auctav Platform

Group 3 winner Go Athletico (Fr) (Goken {Fr}) attracted a bid of €165,000 from Shamrock Thoroughbreds manager Stephen Thorne during Friday's Auctav Flash Sale. The price is a record for a Flat horse on the online platform.

Stephen Thorne, Shamrock Thoroubreds manager, said of the former AB Racing runner, “Go Athletico looks like a very nice and strong prospect. He is a solid horse to compete in Ireland in sprint races. He will go in training with Ado McGuiness. We are delighted.”

“We quickly found our niche in the NH discipline and quickly created a network in the Arabian thoroughbred market,” explained Arnaud Angéliaume, CEO of Auctav. “We have worked hard in recent months to make the Auctav brand better known among actors of Flat racing, trainers, owners, bloodstock agents, and this is a mission that will continue throughout the year. Group 3 Winner on Offer at Auctav Online

The second Auctav Flash Sale for April is set to take place on Friday, Apr. 28, from 6-6:30 p.m. and will offer a single lot in the 5-year-old listed winner Go Athletico (Fr) (Goken {Fr}).

Go Athletico most recently captured the Listed Prix Cor de Chasse at Deauville on Apr. 8. He also won the G3 Prix de la Rochette as a 2-year-old and has amassed a career line of 26-6-7-3 for earnings of £196,458 on both turf and all-weather surfaces. He hails from the female family of GII San Clemente H. winner Little Treasure (Fr) (Night Shift) and G3 Prix Allez France runner-up Harem Lady (Fr) (Teofilo {Ire}).

Johannes Tops Auctav Flash Sale

TJ Bloodstock snapped up Johannes (Fr) (French Fifteen {Fr}) for €62,000 during Auctav's April Flash Sale on Friday. Consigned by Mathieu Brasme, the 3-year-old colt is out of a full-sister to stakes winner Joursanvault (Fr) (Verglas {Ire}). Johannes won his only start, at Saumur, by 9 1/2 lengths earlier this year.
