Offered as lot 182 by Baroda Stud, multiple group winner Oscula (Ire) (Galileo Gold {GB}) changed hands for €1 million to Ted Voute at Arqana. Purchased for Nawara Stud's Prince Faisal of Mishriff (Ire) (Make Believe {GB}) fame, the triple Group 3 winner also ran third in the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac among her numerous stakes placings. Group winners Galeota (Ire) (Mujadil), Burnt Sugar (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) and Brown Sugar (Ire) (Tamayuz) are under the third dam. Voute indicated to the Arqana sales team that the dark bay would visit Prince Faisal's Mishriff in the new year. The multiple Group 1 winner will be standing his first season at stud under the Sumbe banner in France in 2023.

The Christophe Ferland-consigned filly was bought by De Burgh Equine and James Harron. A winner of the Listed Prix de Saint-Cyr, the 3-year-old has been Group 1-placed as a juvenile and in the G1 French 1000 Guineas this term. She is also a half-sister to G3 Prix Thomas Bryon third Times Boulevard (Fr) (Shalaa {Ire}).

Burgarita First To Seven Figures At Arqana, As Godolphin Buys Dual Stakes Winner For 1.7m

The talented and well-related Burgarita (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) (lot 177) was the first seven-figure lot at Arqana on Saturday, making €1.7 million from Anthony Stroud. Bound for the Godolphin fold, the bay filly-in-training was offered by Baroda Stud. A dual listed winner, the half-sister to G3 Prix Allez France heroine Aquamarine (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) was second three times at group level and ran third in the G1 Prix de Diane. Under the second dam is the GI Beverly D. S. and GI Diana S. heroine Angara (GB) (Alzao). She made 95,000gns as a Tattersalls December yearling.

Stroud told the TDN, “We thought she'd be a good candidate for Dubawi (Ire).”

Listed winner Mea Domina (Fr) (Pivotal {GB}) (lot 220) is a late addition to the Arqana Vente d'Elevage on Dec. 3. A dual winner, she will be offered by trainer Jerome Reynier. The daughter of the multiple stakes-placed Regina Mundi (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}) won the Listed Prix Isola Bella at Saint-Cloud this term. She is also a half-sister to G3 Prix d'Aumale heroine Rocques (Fr) (Lawman {Fr}), the stakes-placed King Pacha (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}), and the multiple Group 3-placed Omnia Munda Mundis (GB) (Australia {GB}). The wildcard is also from the family of GI Sword Dancer S. hero Quaternion Eagle (Aus) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}). Deauville's breeding stock sale will run from Dec. 3-6.
