SIYATANN (FR) (Almanzor {Fr}) debuts for The Aga Khan and Francis-Henri Graffard and is a half-brother to the G1 Prix Saint Alary winner Siyarafina (Fr) (Pivotal {GB}). Among his peers is Michael Tabor's First Minister (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a son of the $3.6-million Keeneland November purchase Naples Bay (Giant's Causeway) who represents the Andre Fabre stable.

SAADIYAT (IRE) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), a 475,000gns purchase by Al Shira'aa Farms at last year's Book 1, is out of Sweepstake (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}) who was in the thick of the action again on Wednesday when her son of Frankel (GB) was a 2.4million gns sensation at that auction. A half-sister to the Australia (GB) duo Broome (Ire) and Point Lonsdale (Ire), she is in the care of Carlos Laffon-Parias and lines up in a field stacked with exciting pedigrees including the Wertheimers' Perseide (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), a Freddy Head-trained daughter of the G3 Prix Vanteaux-winning Gold Luck (Fr) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}), a half to Goldikova (Ire) (Anabaa); and Ecurie Skymarc Farm's Chennamma (GB) (Saxon Warrior {Jpn}), a Francis-Henri Graffard-trained half-sister to the stable's G1 Prix de Diane heroine Channel (Ire) (Nathaniel {Ire}).

Fasig-Tipton March Digital Selected Sale Catalogue Now Online

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 18 entries for its March Digital Selected Sale, the company's inaugural online auction to be conducted on its new digital platform. Bidding is now officially open for the sale, and will close this Tuesday, Mar. 22, at 2 p.m. EDT.

The catalogue, which may now be viewed at digital.fasigtipton.com, consists of horses of racing age, racing and/or broodmare prospects, in-foal mares, and a stallion share in European champion Almanzor (Fr).

“We could not be more pleased with the strength of this catalogue,” said Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton Director of Digital Sales. “Our goal with this first digital auction was to put together a catalogue of high-quality entries and, with the support of our consignors, we have achieved that. Prospective buyers will find something of interest on every page, with horses of racing age in top current form, pedigreed and stakes credentialed broodmare prospects, and mares in-foal on exciting covers.

“Additionally, we are pleased to offer a share in promising young sire Almanzor (Fr), who is off to a fantastic start at stud in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres,” added Aaron. “It is a rare offering that adds another level of international interest and intrigue to our inaugural digital sale.”

March Digital Selected Sale offerings include:

RISKY ANALYSIS (Hip 2): Broodmare prospect by Frued was a six-figure earner on the track and is a half-sister to recent GII Rebel S. winner Un Ojo.

SUCHADA (Hip 4): Half-sister to GISW winning millionaire Finnegans Wake is the first mare to be offered in foal to Horse of the Year Knicks Go. She was mated on Feb. 10 and has checked in-foal.

WHITE PINE (Hip 6): Broodmare prospect by Tapit is a half-sister to stakes winner Itsmyluckycharm, from the family of GISW winners Albert the Great and Rushing Fall.

WILD EMPRESS (Hip 7): Broodmare prospect by Empire Maker is a half-sister to Eclipse Champion 2-Year-Old Filly She Be Wild.

Almanzor’s Lassaut A New Rising Star In France

Riviera Equine & Haras d'Etreham's 3-year-old colt Lassaut (Fr) (Almanzor {Fr}) followed up a Dec. 12 debut third going 7 1/2 furlongs at Deauville with a taking one-length triumph upped to one mile at Chantilly coming back for his sophomore return in Wednesday's Prix de la Broutillerie. The Jean-Claude Rouget trainee, sent postward as the 16-5 second favourite, was the slowest of eight into stride and raced in rear through halfway. Easing to the outside for a clear passage soon after passing the quarter-mile marker, he came under urging approaching the eighth pole and quickened smartly in the closing stages to comfortably outpoint Listed Prix Herod third Tribalist (GB) (Farhh {GB}) nearing the line for a 'TDN Rising Star' tag.

Lassaut is the third of four foals and first scorer produced by an unraced half-sister to MGSW G2 Prix Robert Papin victor and G1 Prix Morny runner-up Family One (Fr) (Dubai Destination) and Listed Premio Eupili second Modern Family (Fr) (Excellent Art {GB}). He is kin to a 2-year-old filly by Wootton Bassett (GB) and hails from the family of MG1SW sire Lethal Force (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}).
