Wanamaker’s Inaugural PA-bred Catalog Online

The catalogue for inaugural Wanamaker's auction featuring 25 Pennsylvania-breds, is available at www.wanamakers.com. Slated for Oct. 28, the sale includes weanlings, yearlings, racing prospects, broodmare prospects, and broodmares. Highlights of the sale include Lillie's Answer, a black-type earning broodmare currently in-foal to Shancelot, as well as an eight-horse offering from Pewter Stable, six of which are weanlings by Pennsylvania stallion, Winchill.

“We are excited to host this inaugural PA-Bred Sale for the PHBA,” said co-founder Liza Hendriks. “Brian Sanfratello, executive secretary of the PHBA, reached out about the opportunity for their breeders to showcase PA-breds in an online auction and the response has been great from the breeders.”

Live bidding will open at 8:00 a.m. ET and the first listing will close at 5:00 p.m. ET. Subsequent listings will end in three-minute increments. Detailed information on the buying process can be found at www.wanamakers.com/buy.

MTA Hosts Online Stallion Season Sale, Includes New Incentive

MTA TO HOST ’21 ONLINE STALLION SEASON AUCTION WITH $1K BONUS INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association (MTA) will conduct its 2021 Stallion Season Auction Jan. 3-11, featuring over 50 stallions from Kentucky, Florida, Oklahoma and Minnesota. The on-line auction will be hosted at www.thoroughlybred.com.

A new incentive is also being offered for this year’s auction from the Minnesota Breeders’ Fund. Breeders who purchase a stallion season through the 2021 MTA Stallion Season Auction with the resultant foal born in Minnesota will receive a $1000 check when the foal is registered with the Minnesota Racing Commission in 2022.

“As we leave 2020 behind, organizers at the Minnesota Thoroughbred Association are excited to provide breeders with many terrific stallions to build on in the future,” said Kay King, Executive Director of the MTA.

Bids will be placed on a rolling basis for all eight days of the sale. New stallion seasons may continue to be added through the duration of the sale. For the latest Stallion Season Auction list, visit www.minnesotabred.com.
