Santa Anita: First-Ever Hollywood Meet Kicks Off April 21

With Santa Anita's current Classic Meet set to reset the day after the Grade 1 Runhappy Santa Anita Derby on Sunday, April 9, the track's first-ever “Hollywood Meet” will begin after an 11-day live racing hiatus on Friday, April 21.

The Hollywood Meet, with the exception of Memorial Day weekend at the end of May, will operate on a Friday through Sunday basis through closing day, Sunday, June 18.

First post time each day, excepting Triple Crown Saturdays and closing day, will be at 1 p.m. (On all Triple Crown Saturdays and on closing day, June 18, first post time will be at 12 noon.

Santa Anita will continue to offer free admission and parking along with $3 beers and $5 margaritas, on all Fridays throughout the Hollywood stand.

  • CLOSING DAY & FATHER'S DAY AT THE RACES, Sunday, June 18

Entries for Santa Anita's Hollywood Meet opener will be taken on Tuesday, April 18 and will be available later that day at santaanita.com.
