Woodbine Entertainment will be hosting a Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge on this Saturday's Turf Champions Day, headlined by the Grade 1 Ricoh Woodbine Mile.
The 2023 Woodbine Mile Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge is a “real money” online and onsite handicapping tournament, opening to players across North America. Registration to play online is available through HPIbet in Canada and Xpressbet in the United States. Online registration is open now and closes Friday, September 15 at 12 p.m. (ET).
Players looking to participate on-site Saturday at Woodbine will go to “The Nook”, located on the Third Level beside Champions Bar. Check-in opens Saturday at 10 a.m. and registration closes at Noon.
Those playing on-site will enjoy a continental breakfast while they prepare for the tournament. Lunch and refreshments are also provided during the tournament for those participating in the tournament area.
To participate, the tournament buy-in is $1,353 (CAD) or $1,000 (USD), with $1,015 (CAD) or $750 (USD) for bankroll and the $332 (CAD) or $250 (USD) going towards prize pool).
HPIbet and Prestige members can receive a discount on their entry fee if they participate on-site. The discounts are listed below:
- HPIbet: 5%
- Prestige Level 1: 10%
- Prestige Level 2: 15%
- Prestige Level 3: 20%
- Prestige Level 4: 25%
The 2023 Woodbine Mile Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge requires participants to wager on a minimum of five (5) races up to and including the Woodbine Mile this Saturday at Woodbine, with minimum wager of $203 CAD on each of the five (5) races.
Bet Types: Win, Place, Show, Exacta, Trifecta and Daily Double – No Superfecta wagering.
Eligible races: All live Woodbine Races on Saturday, September 16th up to the completion of the Ricoh Woodbine Mile.
Prizes included:
- TWO seats to the 2023 Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge (est. $1 M purse).
- TWO seats to the 2023 NTRA National Horseplayers Championship (est. $2.9 M purse).
- TWO seats to the 2024 Woodbine Mile BCBC Tournament.
