Keeneland has added three horses, including recent Fall Meet winner Halmstad, to its Horses of Racing Age Sale on Friday, Nov. 17. A total of 303 horses have been cataloged to the single-session auction, which will begin at noon ET.
Halmstad, a 3-year-old gelding by Nyquist, scored a 3¾-length maiden special weight victory at Keeneland on Oct. 27 in his third lifetime start. He ran six furlongs on dirt in 1:10.04, covering the final furlong in 11 4/5 seconds, to earn an 89 Beyer Speed Figure.
Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, Halmstad is a half-brother to stakes winner Spycraft and is out of Sugarcraft, by Bernardini. Sugarcraft, who is out of Grade 1 winner Sugar Shake, is a half-sister to graded stakes performer Shook Up, dam of stakes winner King Ottoman from two foals to race.
The other supplements are:
– Gordon Gekko, a 2-year-old colt by Quality Road who finished fourth in his lone start. He is the first foal out of Chilean Horse of the Year and millionaire Wow Cat (CHI), a daughter of Lookin At Lucky who was second in the 2018 Breeders' Cup Distaff. Gordon Gekko is consigned by ELiTE, agent.
– Luna Patina, a 2-year-old filly by Malibu Moon out of Grade 3 winner Solo Survivor, by Pleasant Tap. A half-sister to stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Hip Hop N Jazz and stakes-placed Strive, she is from the family of Grade 1 winner Nastique and Grade 2 winner Transient Trend. Luna Patina is consigned by Buck Pond Farm (Douglas S. Arnold), agent.
Additional supplements will be considered until the day of the sale.
The online catalog for the November Horses of Racing Age Sale features Daily Racing Form and Equibase past performances along with Thoro-graph and Ragozin sheets, race replays and more.
