The expected intercontinental showdown in this year’s Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic took another step toward reality Oct. 23 with the announcement of pre-entered runners in that $7 million showcase as well as the other 13 races in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships set for Nov. 1-2 at Del Mar.
