Gowans, 28, works for one of the world’s most prolific and respected breeding and racing entities, Gainesway, located near Lexington. While he oversees bloodstock and racing at Gainesway, Gowans also has his own outside clients.

Santa Anita’s 16-day Autumn Meet begins on Sept. 26 with a new wager, the $1 Sunset Pick 6. The Sunset Pick 6 will be comprised of the final three races from both Santa Anita and Gulfstream Park on days that the pair are running. Available to retail customers only (no CAW players), the Sunset Pick 6 features a low 15% takeout and will not have a consolation payout.
