The 8-year-old son of Kitten's Joy stood an abbreviated first season at BG Thoroughbred Farm in Hemet, Calif. He stands as property of Frederick Larsen.
Oscar Nominated won six of 30 starts during his racing career for earnings of $1,502,639. He earned a spot in the 2016 Kentucky Derby after winning the Grade 3 Spiral Stakes, and he won the G3 Kentucky Turf Cup Stakes a year later. His 5-year-old campaign started with a win in the G3 W.L. McKnight Handicap.
Oscar Nominated won or hit the board in 10 graded stakes races, also including a runner-up effort in the G1 Canadian International Stakes.
Bred in Kentucky for Mrs. Jerry Amerman, Oscar Nominated is out of the Theatrical mare Devine Actress, and he is a full-brother to multiple Grade 1 winner Oscar Performance, who stands at stud in Kentucky He is also a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Award Winner.
Oscar Nominated will stand for an advertised fee of $5,000.
