The Northern California Yearling and Horses of Racing Age Sale will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, beginning at noon.
There are 151 horses cataloged or supplemented for the sale, which is presented by the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

On the cover of this year's catalog is Freeport Joe, a Grade 3-winning graduate of the 2018 sale, who has pocketed $256,324 in career earnings. He was purchased for $2,000, a prime example of the potential value available at the Northern California Sale.
CTBA is offering a $500 travel allowance with a minimum purchase of $3,500 to out-of-state trainers and trainers from Southern California who attend the sale. Proof of travel is required.
The sale will accept live onsite and online bidding.
