The 20-cent Rainbow 6 was solved Sunday for a $342,836.75 jackpot payoff at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla, where the popular multi-race wager had gone unsolved for the four racing days following a mandatory payout March 6.
The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 will start a new on Wednesday with a $50,000 gross jackpot pool guarantee.
Who's Hot: Irad Ortiz Jr. doubled on Sunday's card with back-to-back victories aboard Green Up ($2.80) in Race 4 and No Commission ($5.40) in Race 5.
