Friday's card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $23,836 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday's nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $702.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
The sequence began in Race 4 with Chasing Daylight [No. 1A, $4.20*] taking a one-mile $35,000 claiming tilt with Manny Franco up for trainer Rudy Rodriguez. The Mike Maker-trained Tommy Gun [No. 2, $13.60] followed in Race 5 with a dominant victory under Jose Gomez to take a 6 1/2-furlong $14,000 claiming event.
Race 6 saw the Bruce Levine-trained Fortune's Nephew [No. 6, $5.20*] turn back a resurgent Caldo Candy to graduate in a seven-furlong New York-bred maiden special weight under Kendrick Carmouche. The largest upset in the sequence came one race later in Race 7 when the Irad Ortiz, Jr.-piloted Sell Something [No. 3, $28.40] was elevated to victory in a 1 1/16-mile state-bred outer turf allowance for trainer Horacio De Paz.
The upsets continued in Race 8 as the Jimmy Ferraro-trained Sweetest Princess [No. 5, $27.60] notched a six-furlong state-bred optional claiming conquest under Luis Rivera, Jr. to ensure a carryover.
With the carryover already guaranteed, Take Me to Jimmy [No. 9, $7.90] took the final leg in Race 9, a nine-furlong inner turf maiden for 3-year-olds and up, with Manny Franco up for four-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown.
Friday's Pick 6 sequence begins in Race 4 at 1:46 p.m. Eastern and includes the $120,000 Tepin in Race 6 and the $150,000 Autumn Days in Race 8. First post on the nine-race card is 12:20 p.m.
