Haras d'Annebault's first-season sire Mondialiste (Ire) (by Galileo {Ire}) was off the mark on Monday as Hester Prynne (GB) took the five-furlong Kiplingcotes Restricted Novice S. at Beverley. A 60,000gns Tattersalls December Foal Sale graduate who races for the sire's owners Geoff and Sandra Turnbull, the David O'Meara-trained filly was keen early in mid-division but had enough in reserve to deliver a withering effort and reel in Alaskan Jewel (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}) close home for a length success at odds of 9-2.
The winner is a half-sister to the G2 Goldene Peitsche hero Donnerschlag (GB) (Bahamian Bounty {GB}), Hwt. Older Horse-Ger at 5-7f, MGSW-Ger, $162,665, to the G3 Round Tower S. third De Boss Man (Ire) (Dandy Man {Ire}), and to the Listed Prix Six Perfections winner Izzy Bizu (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}). The listed-placed dam, who also has a yearling full-brother to the winner, is a half to the G2 King's Stand S. third Funny Valentine (Ire) (Cadeaux Genereux {GB}) and to the dam of the G3 Sandown Sprint S. winner Resplendent Glory (Ire) (Namid {GB}).
2nd-Beverley, £4,300, Novice, 5-3, 2yo, 5fT, 1:05.76, g/f.
