DECORATED INVADER (c, 3, Declaration of War–Gamely Girl, by Arch) was hammered down to 3-5 favoritism for the GII Pennine Ridge S. and ran to the money, charging through late for a dominant score. Stalking from third as Proven Strategies (Sky Mesa) set opening splits of :23.86 and :47.50, the bay pushed through on the fence entering the lane and powered clear to win as he pleased. Following his second-out graduation with a win in the GI Summer S. at Woodbine in September, the bay rallied to be fourth in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Nov. 1 and kicked off this year with a win in Gulfstream’s Cutler Bay S. Lifetime Record: 6-4-1-0.
