Claiborne Farm announced the 2024 stud fee for their regally-bred stallion Demarchelier (GB) will be set at $7,500 LFSN.
The only son of top international stallion and sire of sires Dubawi (IRE) standing in Kentucky has gotten off the mark quickly with his first 2-year-olds. He currently has 10 winners, including two stakes horses and one graded stakes horse, from just 27 starters so far.
Among first-crop turf sires, Demarchelier (GB) is leading the way with seven winners (tied with Flameaway).
A graded stakes winner at Belmont, Demarchelier (GB) hails from a stellar family. He is out of a Sadler's Wells mare who is full-sister to G1 winners Yesterday (IRE) and Quarter Moon (IRE). His deep female family also includes Group 1 winners Diamondsandrubies (IRE), Allegretto (IRE), Aussie Rules (GB), Coronet (GB), and 2023 G1 Champagne Stakes winner Timberlake.
This year, 2-year-olds by Demarchelier (GB) have sold for $230,000, $140,000, etc.
