Enable, a two-time European Horse of the Year, delivered her first foal on Feb. 11, a colt by Kingman.
A release from owner and breeder Juddmonte Farms stated that Enable has taken to her maternal duties “extremely well.”
An 8-year-old daughter of Nathaniel, Enable was a standard-bearer for Juddmonte's homebred program for five seasons, earning honors as European Horse of the Year in 2017 and 2019, along with continental honors as champion 3-year-old filly in 2017 and champion older female in 2018 and 2019.
Enable won 15 of 19 starts and earned $14,062,824, highlighted by three wins in the G1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, two victories in the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and Grade/Group 1 wins in the Breeders' Cup Turf, Epsom Oaks, Irish Oaks, and Yorkshire Oaks.
Kingman is a Juddmonte homebred by Invincible Spirit who earned Europe's Horse of the Year honors in 2014. He stands at Banstead Manor Stud in Suffolk, England.
His runners of note include European champion Palace Pier and multiple Grade 1 winner Domestic Spending.
Enable is scheduled to be bred to global powerhouse Dubawi for her 2022 mating.
