Racing legend Ruby Walsh says he wants to see the Cheltenham Festival extended from four days to five.
The $250,000, Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes is traditionally one of the most important races on the calendar for older males as well as a golden opportunity for a talented 3-year-old to test his mettle against more seasoned opposition. First held in 1919, this year’s edition will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at Belmont Park.
