Canterbury Park racing officials in cooperation with the Minnesota Racing Commission state veterinarian and Minnesota HBPA postponed Saturday's live racing program, rescheduling the eight-race card for Thursday, August 24 due to a projected excessive heat index.
Racing on Thursday will begin at 5:00 p.m. (CT) with races carded for Saturday night to be run Thursday as drawn.
“In keeping with safety protocols, we have determined the best course of action is to run Saturday's program on Thursday evening,” Director of Racing Chris Merz said.
Live racing continues Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. followed by the rescheduled program Thursday.
