A Florida-bred colt by Awesome Slew clocked the fastest time at an eighth of a mile on Tuesday during the first session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale's under-tack show, stopping the clock in :10 flat.
The bay colt is out of the winning Distorted Humor mare Cash Reserve, whose six winners from seven foals to race includes stakes-placed runners Reckling and Campy Cash. His second dam is the Grade 2 winner Private Treasure, and his extended family is highlighted by Grade 1 winner Diversify.
Tom McCrocklin consigns the colt, offered as Hip 91, as agent.
Two juveniles shared the fastest time for two furlongs, each crossing the line in :21 3/5 seconds.
Hip 15 is a first-crop Flameaway colt out of the unraced Petionville mare Allez Jete. Canadian champion Talkin Man is in his extended family, along with South African group stakes winners Fair Rosalind and Schippers.

Hip 126 is a Nyquist colt out of the placed Mineshaft mare Dance Thewayyouare. The Ontario-bred is a half-brother to Grade 2-placed Smiley Sobotka, with an extended family featuring Canadian champion Gretzky the Great, Grade 1 winner Love Theway Youare, and Grade 2 winner Tower of Texas.

The under-tack show continues daily through Thursday, with each session beginning at 8 a.m. Eastern. The auction will take place May 22-23, beginning each day at 11 a.m.
