Our work wouldn't be possible without the support of our donors.”

Bash at the Breeders' Cup will feature a live auction including a Del Mar Racing package, halters worn by Arcangelo and Mage, a racing saddle signed by numerous jockeys including Johnny Velazquez, Flavien Prat, Julien Leparoux and Tyler Gaffalione, a VIP day at the races at Santa Anita Park, a Whitney Stakes weekend package in Saratoga, a box at the Blue Grass Stakes with weekend accommodations, a VIP race day at Kentucky Downs, a stay in a luxury Mexican villa, 2024 Breeders' Cup tickets and more. For those that cannot attend in-person, online bidding will be available beginning on Wednesday, November 1. Media sponsors include BloodHorse, TDN, Paulick Report, and the Horse Racing Radio Network.

Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) was formed in 1990 to raise and distribute funds to charities in the Thoroughbred industry that provide a better life for Thoroughbreds, both during and after their racing careers, by supporting qualified repurposing and retirement organizations and by helping the people who care for them. In 2023, TCA granted over $821,000 to 75 approved charities working within Thoroughbred retraining, rehoming and retirement; backstretch and farm worker services, research and equine-assisted therapy. During the last three decades, TCA has granted over $26 million to more than 200 charities that successfully meet the criteria set forth in its annual grant application. TCA administers the Horses First Fund, founded by LNJ Foxwoods in 2016, to assist Thoroughbreds in need of emergency aid. TCA manages Cómo, a mobile app founded by Godolphin, that connects racing industry employees to the vital services they need through a network of racetrack chaplains and Thoroughbred industry organizations. TCA is the charitable arm of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA).

Royal Ascot Winner Rogue Millennium Set For Sceptre Sessions

Trainer Tom Clover says that Rogue Millennium (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) provided him and his owners with a day they will never forget when winning at Royal Ascot but described her date with the Tattersalls December Mares Sceptre Sessions as the perfect way of seeing the Group 2 winner off on her next chapter as a broodmare.

Rogue Millennium, who was bought by Billy Jackson-Stops for just 35,000gns from Shadwell at this exact sale in 2021, has carried the colours of The Rogues Gallery with great distinction and brought Clover to some of the biggest meetings in Europe.

Not only did she justify her supplementation fee when landing the G2 Duke Of Cambridge S. at Royal Ascot, but she also ran a gallant second to Tahiyra (Ire) (Siyouni {Fr}) in the G1 Matron S. at the Irish Champions Festival at Leopardstown.

She will now embark on her next chapter as a broodmare and Clover says that he is hopeful that the 4-year-old will prove quite an attractive prospect to all the big stud farms come December.

Recapping on that memorable triumph at the Royal meeting, Clover said, “It was just the most incredible day at Royal Ascot. It's the type of result you dream of when you start training. For a syndicate of really good friends and people now, who are such racing enthusiasts, to have a day like that together; we'll remember it for the rest of our lives. We'd a great big picnic in the car park beforehand and had a fantastic day. A day we'll remember forever.”

The trainer added, “She's a filly who we always had in mind to put through the ring at some stage. Being a daughter of Dubawi (Ire) and a Group 2-winning miler at Royal Ascot will hopefully make her quite attractive. Tattersalls has just been fantastic to us and the Rogues. I know Tony Elliott [syndicate manager] really wants to support them. Going there to the Spectre Sessions will be a fantastic way of seeing her off.”

Rogue Millennium reached an official rating of 110 and amassed over £300,000 in career earnings. She has won three times from 14 starts and placed on a further five occasions. She was last seen running fifth behind Big Rock (Fr) (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}) in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II S.

Racing Returns To Churchill Downs Sunday With ‘Stars of Tomorrow I’ Program

Thoroughbred racing in Kentucky shifts from Keeneland to Churchill Downs on Sunday as the home of the Kentucky Derby readies to open its 134th Fall Meet with an 11-race program – all for promising 2-year-old Thoroughbreds – at 1 p.m. (all times Eastern).

The popular 21-day stand covers a four-week stretch every Wednesday-Sunday through Nov. 26.

The Fall Meet kicks off in style Sunday with the 19th annual “Stars of Tomorrow I” program, which is entirely devoted to hopeful 2-year-olds with aspirations of trail-blazing their way to next year's Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (Grade 1) and Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1).

Sunday's 11-race opening day card is headlined by the 11th runnings of two 1 1/16 miles, $200,000 stakes – the open-company Street Sense (G3) and Rags to Riches for fillies. Those races serve as local steppingstones to the two Grade 2, $400,000, 1 1/16-mile counterparts on the Saturday, Nov. 25 “Stars of Tomorrow II” program – the open Kentucky Jockey Club and Golden Rod for fillies. Each race is a part of the Road to the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks series which award points to the Top 5 finishers (10-5-3-2-1).

A whopping 143 juveniles, including 22 also-eligible runners, were entered for Sunday's opener, which is a compelling average of 11 horses per race for horseplayers.

Moonlight, an Audible colt trained by Todd Pletcher who broke his maiden by eight lengths, is the 5-2 morning line favorite in the Street Sense. Pocahontas (G3) winner and Alcibiades (G1) runner-up V V's Dream, who also was pre-entered in the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies to be run Nov. 3 at Santa Anita, is the 6-5 choice in the Pocahontas.

Inaugurated in 2005, Churchill Downs' “Stars of Tomorrow” programs have helped launched the careers of numerous graded stakes winners, including more than 50 future Grade I winners led by Horse of the Year champions Gun Runner (2017) and Rachel Alexandra (2009); Kentucky Derby winners Super Saver (2010) and Mandaloun (2021); Kentucky Oaks winners Rachel Alexandra (2009), Believe You Can (2012), Monomoy Girl (2018), Secret Oath (2022) and Pretty Mischievous (2023); Preakness winners Rachel Alexandra (2009), Shackleford (2011), War of Will (2019) and Swiss Skydiver (2020); Belmont winner Creator (2016) as well as 2012 Breeders' Cup Classic and 2013 Stephen Foster hero Fort Larned and 2013 champion 3-year-old Will Take Charge.

Horsemen will compete for $22.89 million offered in Vice President of Racing Ben Huffman's Fall Meet condition book of 218 races, including a 15-race stakes schedule cumulatively worth $4.75 million.

Average daily purses are $1,090,000. Maiden special weight races have a $120,000 purse while allowance races range from $127,000 to $141,000. All purses, including claiming races, include prize money from the Kentucky Thoroughbred Development Fund (pending Kentucky Horse Racing Commission approval).

Sunday's card features $1,466,000 in prize money.

The lucrative stakes schedule is anchored by the 149th running of the $600,000 Clark presented by Norton Healthcare (G1). The 1 1/8-mile test for 3-year-olds and up on “Black Friday,” Nov. 24 annually lures some of the top horses in North America and is the centerpiece of nine stakes races scheduled over Thanksgiving weekend.
