Aqueduct Cancels After Saturday’s Fifth Race Due To Heavy Fog

The New York Racing Association Inc. has canceled the remaining four races on Saturday's nine-race card following Race 5 due to heavy fog that has settled into the New York City area, resulting in visibility concerns at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Per New York State Gaming Commission rules, Saturday's's Pick 6 wagering pool, which featured a carryover of $22,611, will be refunded. The wager and carryover will return on Sunday, January 1 with a mandatory payout. Sunday's Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 with a post time of 1:47 p.m. (ET)

Saturday's featured event, the $150,000 Queens County, will be rescheduled to Saturday, January 7.

Live racing resumes Sunday at the Big A, Opening Day of the 44-day 2023 Aqueduct winter meet. The nine-race card features the $150,000 Ladies in Race 3. First post is 12:20 p.m.
