American Freedom, a Grade 3 winner and young sire, has been sold to Bob and Tyree Wolesensky to stand at their Leadem Farm in Leola, Ark., for the 2023 breeding season, Thoroughbred Daily News reports.
The 9-year-old son of Pulpit previously stood at Airdrie Stud in Midway, Ky., where he retired for the 2018 breeding season.
With two crops of racing age, American Freedom has sired 60 winners with combined progeny earnings of $3,421,354, led by stakes winner Freedom Speaks.
During his own on-track career, American Freedom won three of eight starts for earnings of $705,100. His 3-year-old campaign featured victories in the Grade 3 Iowa Derby and the Sir Barton Stakes, with runner-up efforts in the G1 Travers Stakes and Haskell Invitational Stakes.
American Freedom will stand for an advertised fee of $3,500.
