The Alberta stallion, Big Lightning, has been moved to Magrath, Alberta to stand under the new ownership of Blair Huston.
A son of Bernardini, Big Lightning has sired an impressive 79 percent winners from limited starters with progeny earnings to date of over $300,000.
His best runners include the winner of the black type Princess Margaret Stakes, Emma Jean Too (three wins, $70,731), Kirwan's Mountain (two wins, $37,773, third in the Birdcatcher Stakes), Big River ($28,547, third in the Two Year Old Filly Sales Stakes), Dites Moi (two wins, second in the Alberta Bred Three Year Old Stakes), Blue Jewel (placed, third in the Grande Prairie Derby), Reflectionofvalues ($40,247), Wheelsupinthirty ($36,860) and Wavesintheocean ($14,054).
Big Lightning sold as a yearling at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale for $320,000.
The dam of Big Lightning is the Wild Again mare and multiple stakes winner Wild Lightning ($394,212) who sold in the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale for over $400,000.
Big Lightning will stand the 2022 season for $2,000.
