The 20-cent Rainbow 6 was hit Saturday at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla., and returned $407,067.66.
The Rainbow 6 will have a guaranteed gross pool Sunday of $100,000.
Sunday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 5-10. Andry Blanco's Peter D will put his undefeated record on Tapeta on the line in Race 6, a mile-and-70-yard optional claiming starter allowance for 2-year-olds. The son of He's Has Enough, who won his debut on dirt at Delaware Park in Wilmington, Del., and finished fifth in his Gulfstream debut in a turf sprint, became a stakes winner in his third career start while winning the Florida-bred Juvenile in his Tapeta debut at a mile and 70 yards. Peter D came right back to score a dominating four-length victory in a Nov. 12 optional claiming starter allowance on Tapeta.
The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
