Thursday's Pick 6 will be bolstered by a $68,497 carryover as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday at Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park, N.Y.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $7,610.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Sunday's sequence kicked off in Race 5 with Umbria [No. 12, $10.40] graduating in a 1 1/16-mile inner turf test for New York-bred maiden for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up. Jose Lezcano piloted the winner for Linda Rice.
Empty Tomb [No. 1, $47.60] prevailed in Race 6, a one-mile optional-claiming tilt for 3-year-olds and up, under a perfect ride by Eric Cancel for trainer Robert Falcone. A trio of stakes races followed with Change of Control [No. 1, $9.90] taking the $150,000 Autumn Days, Hopeful Treasure [No. 4, $38] upsetting the $200,000 Grade 3 Fall Highweight, and Vergara [No. 3, $14.60] scoring in the $100,000 Tepin.
With the Pick 6 carryover already guaranteed, Rice and Lezcano teamed up for the second time in the sequence as Freedomofthepress [No. 8, $5.20] scored as the favorite in the 10th race finale, a six-furlong maiden claiming sprint over the outer turf.
Thursday's Pick 6 kicks off in Race 4 at 1:46 p.m. Eastern. First post on the nine-race card is 12:20 p.m.
