The 2023 Arizona Thoroughbred Breeders Association Fall Yearling and Mixed Sale took place Oct. 26, with a yearling filly by Lotsa Mischief leading the way at $28,500.
A total of 66 horses changed hands during the auction, grossing $342,600, with an average sale price of $5,191.
Randy Howg purchased the sale-topper, a $28,500 yearling Lotsa Mischief filly.
The bay filly is out of the stakes-winning El Roblar mare Aware, whose first foal to race is the stakes winner Its a Cheap Date. The Arizona-bred's extended family includes state-bred champions Jakes Corner, Tulsa, Cave Springs, Myrcella, Pinal, and Arizona Jeremy.
The filly sold as property of Fleming Thoroughbred Farm.
Lotsa Mischief, a stakes-winning son of Into Mischief out of the Tabasco Cat mare Saucy Countess, stands at Fleming Thoroughbred Farm in Willcox, Az.
