A deep and diverse set of offerings has been assembled for the 2023 Wanamaker's June Sale.
Now available for viewing at wanamakers.com, the catalog includes yearlings, horses of racing age, broodmare prospects, mares in-foal, and a stallion prospect.
Bidding will open Thursday, June 22 at 8 a.m. ET, with the first listing set to close at 5 p.m. Subsequent listings will close in three-minute increments. Detailed information on the buying process can be found at wanamakers.com/buy.
Highlights of the catalog include:
– Four registered Pennsylvania-bred yearlings by stallions Maximus Mischief, Jimmy Creed, Mor Spirit, and Mucho Macho Man.
– Slot Queen, a 4-year-old broodmare in-foal to Sharp Azteca. She is by top broodmare sire, Speightstown, and out of a blacktype earning mare.
– Spirit of Shanghai, a 6-year-old broodmare in-foal to Aloha West. She placed in the Landaluce Stakes as a juvenile and is closely related to graded stakes performers My Prankster and Saguaro Row.
– Quintile, a 13-year-old broodmare offered in-foal to Core Beliefs. She is the dam of three winners from five runners, two six-figure earners, and has had foals sell for up to $210,000.
– Maximus Aurelius, an intact 5-year-old horse offered as a racing/stallion prospect. He is out of Eclipse Award winning mare, Close Hatches, and is a full-brother to multiple graded stakes winner and current stallion, Tacitus.
