It's not unusual to see a variety of equipment on racehorses, from different bandages to bridles to bits. But why doesn't every horse go in the same type of tack?
In a recent video from Parx Racing, trainer John Kirby explains to track announcer Jessica Paquette how different bits are used on the racetrack, explaining what types of bits he prefers for a range of racehorses.
