1/ST announces the expansion of its partnership with NBC Sports to broadcast the 1/ST RACING TOUR on NBC, CNBC and Peacock. The 1/ST RACING TOUR is a series of connected coast-to-coast races that kicked off with the record-setting 2023 Pegasus World Cup, on Saturday, January 28. Taking place on the first Saturday of February, March and April, including the Santa Anita Derby and concluding with the legendary Preakness Stakes at Preakness 148, the 1/ST RACING TOUR is an innovative new format that significantly increases the number of televised races showcasing the best in Thoroughbred horse racing.
This connected series provides over 11-hours of expanded racing content, including live coverage of six Triple Crown preps. 1/ST RACING TOUR days feature full race day cards, 60 stakes races, exciting coast-to-coast Pick 5 wagers and six 1/ST handicapping contests. Coordinated post times provide rapid and robust racing action every 20-minutes offering new wagering opportunities for fans along with bigger jackpots.
Coverage of the 1/ST RACING TOUR continues Saturday, February 4, with two-hours of live broadcasts from Gulfstream Park (GSP) and Santa Anita Park (SAP) from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET, including two Triple Crown preps – the Holy Bull Stakes and the Robert B. Lewis Stakes.
