Racing Called Off at Parx Due to Heavy Rains, Flash Flood Warnings

Racing was called off after five races at Parx Tuesday after heavy rains swamped the racecourse.

Bensalem, Pennsylvania, where Parx is located was under a severe thunderstorm watch Monday along with most of the I-95 corridor and a funnel cloud was observed near Washington, D.C. The storms came with winds of up to 60 miles per hours, and delayed flights at major airports from Philadelphia to New York City. The National Weather Service issued reports of flooded highways with people stuck in cars in Pennsylvania, along with downed trees in Maryland.

Parx has carded 12 races for Wednesday, with first post at 12:40 p.m.

Not This Time Share To Be Offered At Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale

Fasig-Tipton will offer a share in leading young sire Not This Time at its upcoming Saratoga Sale. The share, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, will be the first offering in the auction's Tuesday session on the evening of Aug. 8.

Not This Time has quickly established himself as one of North America's leading sires. He finished sixth in the general sire rankings in 2022, trailing only Into Mischief, Curlin, Gun Runner, Uncle Mo, and Tapit.

“The Not This Time share is a very exciting addition to our Saratoga Sale this year,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning. “He is off to a remarkable start at stud, and at just nine years old, he has a very exciting future ahead of him.”

From just three crops to race, Not This Time has already sired five Grade 1 winners, 11 graded stakes winners, and 27 black type winners. His progeny include Epicenter, Eclipse Champion 3-Year-Old Male of 2022; Sibelius, winner of this year's Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen; Up To The Mark, winner of the G1 Manhattan Stakes and G1 Turf Classic Stakes; Just One Time, winner of the G1 Madison Stakes; and Princess Noor, winner of the G1 Del Mar Debutante and subsequently a $2.9-million broodmare purchase.

Regally bred, Not This Time is a son of three-time leading sire Giant's Causeway. His first dam, Miss Macy Sue, was a graded stakes winner and track record setter who finished third in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.

Not This Time is a half-brother to three stakes winners, including Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winner and successful young sire Liam's Map. Further information about Not This Time may be found by clicking here.

Prospective buyers should contact Taylor Made's Ben Taylor at (859) 221-1464 or Travis White at (859) 396-3508 for further information, including the syndicate agreement.

Online bidding and phone bidding on the Not This Time share will be available.

The 102nd Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 7-8, in the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Sessions will begin each evening at 6:30 p.m.
