Hip No, 795, a daughter of Irish War Cry consigned by Thorostock LLC, Agent, breezed an eighth in :9 4/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the fifth session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2022 June Sale of Two Year Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age in Ocala, Fla. The dark bay or brown filly is a half sister to stakes placed Jamaican Don out of D D Renegade, by Medalist, from the family of grade one stakes winner Lite Light.

Three horses shared honors for the session's fastest quarter, clocked in :20 4/5.

  • Hip No. 783, consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, is a chestnut filly by Bee Jersey out of graded stakes placed Dance Secretary (IRE), by Danehill Dancer, a half sister to champion Perfect Soul (IRE)
  • Hip No. 823, a dark bay or brown filly by Uncaptured consigned by Tom McCrocklin, Agent, is out of E Built This City, by City Zip, a half sister to stakes placed Anyriderill Do.
  • Hip No. 860, consigned by RiceHorse Stable (Brandon & Ali Rice), is a dark bay or brown colt by Outwork out of Fade to Black, by Street Cry (IRE), from the family of champion OBS graduate Kitten's Joy.

Hip No. 792, a son of Good Magic consigned by Bold Arrow Thoroughbreds breezed three eighths in :33 3/5. The bay colt is out of Dark Before Dawn, by Ghostzapper, a half sister to stakes winner Dashing Debby.

  • Hip 861, consigned by Marcial Galan, Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Mark Valeski out of Faith Proof, by Idiot Proof, a half sister to stakes winner Centerofattention.

Hip No. 768, a son of Tiznow consigned by GOP Racing Stable Corp., Agent, turned in the only quarter in :21 flat. The bay colt is out of Country Drive, by Shirocco (GER), a half sister to graded stakes placed stakes winner Bodecream.

The Under Tack Show's final session begins Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. with Hip No.'s 936 – 1114 (2YO) and 1151 – 1167 (HRA) scheduled to breeze, streamed live via the OBS website at obssales.com.

The OBS June Sale runs from Tuesday, June 7, through Thursday, June 9, with daily sessions scheduled at 10 a.m.

$57.50 Upset Keys Pick 6 Carryover Into Saturday At Belmont Park

Saturday's card at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y., will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $56,383 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday's nine-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $299 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

The sequence started off in Race 4 with Grade 1-placed Soldier Rising [No. 3, $3.20] taking an optional claimer under Jose Ortiz in his second start off a six-month layoff for trainer Christophe Clement. Race 5 saw Mexican Wonder Boy [No. 7, $5.40] win for a $40,000 tag sprinting six furlongs on the muddy main track after the race was taken off the turf. Heman Harkie engineered the winning ride for trainer Chandradat Goberdhan.

Veteran gelding Kumar [No. 3, $15] turned back two challenges down the stretch in Race 6 to land a $20,000 claiming victory under Jose Lezcano for trainer Gustavo Rodriguez with a rail-skimming trip. Galt [No. 2, $11.40] rode the rail down the backstretch in Race 7 before he was angled outside of Highly Respected down the lane to win the optional claimer for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott. Javier Castellano provided the winning ride.Wicked Fast [No. 4, $57.50], with Jose Lezcano up, provided the biggest upset in the sequence in Race 8 for trainer Jorge Abreu. The allowance win was the second on the card for Lezcano.

With the carryover already confirmed, Causin' Mayhem [No. 6, $4.10] went wire-to-wire as the even-money favorite in Race 9 to break his maiden with Manny Franco up for Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher.

Saturday's Pick 6 will kick off in Race 5 [3:03 p.m. Eastern]. First post for the 10-race card, which features the Grade 2 Pennine Ridge in Race 9, is 1 p.m.

Irish War Cry Filly Fastest at OBS Friday

A filly from the first crop of Irish War Cry (Hip 795) put in the fastest work of the day Friday during the fifth session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's June 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale under-tack show. Consigned by Thorostock LLC, she completed the breeze in :9 4/5, making her just the second juvenile so far to clock a furlong in under :10 flat.

A trio of juveniles worked a quarter in a bullet :20 4/5.
