Poker; Mistakes and how to fix them

One of the most obvious things that beginners to poker do, is they play hands that have no chance of ever winning. You don’t have to be a pro to know that if all you have is a high card of 5 to know that your in trouble Many beginners will be drawn in by the rush of gambling and play hands just for the thrill of playing. I would recommend that you play for that thrill but play smart.

Other beginners will play in games that are over there spending limit. I always say that you have to check that limit. You dont want to be left there betting money you dont have, or all of your money in one play and then lose it all. The thing about online poker is that its so easy to play because its exciting but you don’t see your actual money, all you see is numbers. This makes poker online seem like a crazy game.

Many Poker players will get very emotionally involved. This is hazardous to your bank account. Anger sometimes comes from helplessness. When you are playing online and losing every game and your money along with it you have no way of getting it back, there is no person that sees you losing this money. It is just you and your screen. In many cases to try and receive there money back, many players will just keep playing until they are in debt.

Many beginners who play poker will try crazy things like walk into a casino backwards and throwing salt and rabbits feet for luck. Although, like in all gambling, there is a large portion of luck in poker. If you are a good player this will effect your winnings, but if you really don’t know how to play you will never win, good luck or not. A good player will take the worst cards with the worst luck and turn it into the best hand in history

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. In poker it is the biggest mistake you can make. I have heard of people who have watched some pros playing poker on T.V. who where winning and just copied them at a casino That is not a good idea because, on T.V. the pros play in tournaments. These are much different situations then the ones in the casino’s. In some cases the players they imitate are not actually good they actually just had a good day.

* take these tips and please use them and remember to refer to them when you find yourself doing any of these things.*

Fit For A Queen: Royal Horse Reshaped One Rider’s Future

Louise Robson was 15 years old when she began riding one of the Queen of England's retired racehorses named Mister Glum. The gelding quickly became the specific reason Robson decided to make horseback riding her life's work.

Robson credits Glum with getting her through some difficult high school years, when she lacked confidence in herself and was too fearful to ride.

Robson and Glum grew up together; Glum gave Robson courage in all areas of her life, including riding. The duo was together through high school and college, then traveled to Germany to train with Monica Theodorescu, a three-time Olympic gold medalist.

When Robson left Germany to return home to England, she created her business Thoroughbred Dressage.

Robson now has a few of Her Majesty's horses, including Quadrille, Prince's Trust, and Forth Bridge. Though she and the Queen haven't exchanged phone numbers, the Queen does ask after her horses regularly and shares stories about the horses as they have grown. Robson notes that their soundness and happiness are the Queen's top priorities.

UK Racing Joins UK Government’s GREAT Campaign

British racing has formally been incorporated into the UK Government's GREAT Britain & Northern Ireland campaign, which showcases the best of the UK on an international stage. New racing imagery for the campaign was launched via The Jockey Club on the big screens and in the racecard at the Cazoo Derby Festival, a key component of The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The imagery is now available to UK Government departments and its international network, including Embassies and High Commissions, for use on trade missions, at receptions and conferences. Great British Racing International (GBRI), the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), UK Tote Group and Ascot Racecourse led the UK racing industry's efforts to be included in the campaign.

Ross Hamilton, Head of Public Affairs at the British Horseracing Authority, said, “The BHA and our partner organisations are delighted to see this new imagery, showcasing the brilliance, diversity, and international appeal of British racing, included as part of the GREAT campaign. This is an important demonstration of how the UK Government can work with British racing as a soft power asset for the UK, while supporting our industry's ambition to grow our international leadership position in the global thoroughbred industry. We continue this work daily across a range of Government departments and industry objectives.”
