’22 Secretariat Calendar Supports Charities

The 2022 Secretariat's Legacy calendar, which features the Triple Crown winner's legendary daughter Weekend Surprise and her descendants, is now available at SecretariatsLegacy.com for $25. Proceeds from the sale of the calendars goes to Bright Futures Farm, an equine rescue and sanctuary accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance; Old Friends, another TAA-accredited organization; and Victory Alliance Ranch, an equine rescue and sanctuary supporting veterans and special needs children.

The calendar series was launched in 2018 and has raised more than $22,000 for charities.

“Racing fans, especially Secretariat fans, have loved the Living Legends calendars, and I hope they will enjoy this new take on Secretariat's legacy through his important descendants,” said writer/photographer Patricia McQueen, whose creative project is part of her research work on Secretariat as a sire.

‘All Others’ 3-5 Favorite On Closing Day Of Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 1

As of 8 a.m. Sunday, the betting interest of “All Other Colts and Geldings From the 2019 Foal Crop” was the 3-5 favorite entering the final day of wagering in Pool 1 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager.

Individually, the highly-regarded Jack Christopher, who is currently on the sidelines due to a stress fracture in his left shin, was the 7-1 favorite. The Chad Brown trainee is scheduled to resume training in the coming months, according to his connections.

The first pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager was set to close at 6 p.m. (all times Eastern) while the lone pool of the Sire Future Wager will cease wagering at 6:30 p.m.

Pool 1 assumes that horses under the care of trainers suspended from competing in the 2022 Kentucky Derby will not be under consideration. To that end, prospects Corniche, Messier, Pinehurst, and Rockefeller are not among the 22 individual betting interests and are included within the pari-mutuel field.

In the Sire Future Wager, the “All Other Sires” betting option was the 3-1 favorite over offspring sired by Gun Runner, who was 7-1.

The complete list of horses for Pool 1 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager and Sire Future Wager are available, with real-time odds, on www.KentuckyDerby.com/FutureWager.

Bets can be placed at Churchill Downs racetrack in Louisville, Ky., www.TwinSpires.com, the track's official online wagering platform, and other online wagering outlets and satellite wagering centers across North America.
