New Bay’s Sea Bay Routs Winterfavoriten Field By Nine Lengths

Gestut Winterhauch's 2-year-old colt Sea Bay (Ger) (New Bay {GB}) graduated with a one-length win in his Aug. 22 debut over seven furlongs at Hannover, but slipped to fourth when upped to one mile for Dusseldorf's Sept. 12 Listed Junioren Preis in his only other start. He had finished behind the reopposing Ariolo (Ger) (Reliable Man {GB}) and Millionaire (Ger) (Adlerflug {Ger}) on stakes bow last time, but overturned that form and found plenty more besides to make Sunday's G3 Preis des Winterfavoriten all his own as he took the one-mile Cologne feature in supremely impressive style. Sea Bay charted a wide course underneath the trees, in the wake of Millionaire, along the backstraight and made the cut across to join the main body of the field in second approaching the home turn. Looming large on the bridle as the 69-10 chance's rivals became became increasingly flustered in the straight, he was given a shake of the reins by Adrie de Vries just inside the quarter-mile marker and unleashed immediate acceleration, powering clear as the remainder appeared trapped in slow motion to stop the clock in splendid isolation. Sea Bay finished nine lengths ahead of Schwarzer Peter (Ger) (Neatico {Ger}), sealing a first edition of Germany's most prestigious juvenile contest for trainer Henk Grewe, with Schwarzer Peter's Markus Klug-trained stablemates See Hector (Ger) (Counterattack {Aus}) and Ariolo passing the post a head and 3/4-of-a-length further back in third and fourth. The nine-length winning margin was the largest since Globus (Ger) Areion {Ger}) romped home by 10 lengths in 2008.

“There was plenty of debate in the stable beforehand and his work on Monday was so good that we went into the race with a lot of confidence,” Grewe told GaloppOnline. “It was always the plan to go to the outside, the tactics worked to perfection and he won very impressively at the finish. He thoroughly deserved it and is now entitled to have a winter break.”

Winning rider Adrie de Vries added, “The trainer made a good decision to apply for the outer box. Good horses put you on the right track and, when I came into the straight with my hands full, I only had to press the button and he was gone.”

Sea Bay is the third of four foals and second black-type scorer produced by a winning full-sister to stakes-winning G2 Oleander-Rennen placegetter San Salvador (Ger) (Lord of England {Ger}) and G3 Deutsches St Leger runner-up Saratino (Ger) (Lord of England {Ger}). He becomes the fourth pattern-race winner for his second-crop sire and is a half-brother to last week's Listed Silbernes Band der Ruhr victrix Samoa (Ger) (Jukebox Jury {Ire}) and a yearling colt by Amaron (GB). The March-foaled chestnut's dam Strawberry (Ger) (Lord of England {Ger}) is also kin to G1 Grosser Preis von Berlin hero Sirius (Ger) (Dashing Blade {GB}). Descendants of his stakes-winning fourth dam Shona (Ger) (Windwurf {Ger}) include MGSW sire Sommerabend (GB) (Shamardal), G3 Preis der Winterkonigin winner Sorrent (Ger) (Monsun {Ger}), G3 Hamburger Stutenmeile scorer Cherry Danon (Ire) (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}) and last month's Listed Baden-Baden Cup victrix and G3 Preis der Deutschen Einheit placegetter Chilly Filly (Ger) (Makfi {GB}).

Elzaam’s Limiti Di Greccio Impresses In The Staffordstown

The Curragh's Staffordstown Stud S. looked a listed race in name only on Sunday and it duly produced a winner who could be destined for the top in Martin Schwartz's Limiti Di Greccio (Ire) (Elzaam {Aus}). Successful in a seven-furlong Leopardstown maiden Aug. 12 and runner-up in the Sept. 11 Listed Ingabelle S. back over that course and distance since joining Paddy Twomey from Andrew Kinsella, the bay raced towards the rear of mid-division early against the rail under Billy Lee. Running into a pocket two out and again at the furlong pole, the cause appeared lost as Tranquil Lady (Ire) (Australia {GB}) and Sunset Shiraz (Ire) (Time Test {GB}) forged on ahead but once angled off the fence produced a rare surge to overhaul that duo with 50 yards remaining. At the line, there was a dominant 1 1/4-length margin to Tranquil Lady, who held on for the silver medal by a short head from Sunset Shiraz who brought leading formlines into the contest having placed in the G1 Moyglare Stud S., G2 Debutante S. and G3 Weld Park S.

“I was concerned turning into the straight and she seemed to meet every bit of trouble she could, but she has a turn of foot,” Twomey said. “She's a filly who does what she has to do and it's great that she won the way she did. She's a smart filly and displayed that to everybody today–we are lucky to have her. Marty had intimated that he'd like to go to France for the group 1 and Del Mar with her, but I managed to talk him out of it. I bypassed the Weld Park, as I didn't want her to have a penalty when she tackles a Guineas trial next year. We won this last year and I wanted to come here as I think it's a perfect stepping stone for the Guineas.”

“I thought the extra furlong would suit her today and the slower ground didn't seem to inconvenience her,” Twomey added. “The owner would very much like to go for the Breeders' Cup, but the trainer is trying to put the brakes on. She is a big filly who is progressive and we've purposely picked her spots with next year in mind. She'll have an entry in both the Guineas here and at Newmarket.”

Limiti di Greccio further advertises the prowess of her Ballyhane Stud-based sire, becoming his sixth black-type winner. Her dam is the unraced Grotta Del Fauno (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) whose immediate family features the Italian listed-placed Abruzzo Nel Cuore (Ire) (La Vie dei Colori {GB}). The family includes the G2 Premio Ribot winner Duca D'Atri (Ire) (Dr Devious {Ire}) and the dual G3 Gran Premio Citta di Napoli winner Guado D'Annibale (Glint of Gold {GB}). Grotta Del Fauno's yearling filly is by Camacho (GB), while she also has a colt foal by Profitable (Ire).

Mobile casinos: Microgaming/Spin3 software.

The Company Microgaming is a leading supplier of software for online casinos, the largest company in terms of the number of casino players, games etc., really a very respected and valued by gamers all over the world. Spin3 is the name of a Microgaming mobile casino subdivision, i.e. the subsidiary, specializing in mobile casino games for cell phones. Up to the present moment Spin3 has more than ten mobile casino clients – these are both – a casino, using the Microgaming software and providers of mobile content. Obviously, it is worth to gamble mobile casino games affiliated with respectful online casinos.

Personally I have made my first attempt at Ladbrokes mobile casino version – a very famous English bookmaker, also working online actively. I did not have to register at the casino, I just used my old login and password, but generally the registration is held on their web-site, after which you may use one and the same login for betting at bookmaker, and wagering their casino and poker games. I must admit that Ladbrokes casino is a very convenient from the point of view of funds – they return the deposited money, including winnings to your registered credit card. The mobile casino offers a very generous casino bonus with low requirements (the same casino bonus is effective in the online casino version as in the mobile casino).

I started playing with video poker, which is the standard “Jack or better” with a normal payment table 6/9. I must say that the game was rather plain, at the beginning I was a little in the black and then started to get down. In the game I received 23 doubles, 12 times – 2 pairs, 4 treys, 2 streets and 1 full-house. If to compare this with the theory, perhaps, this is very close, just a little less treys, but not that critical. On redoubling there were 12 won and 11 lost, which is actually ideal. The total loss made USD 10.5 at the stake of USD 0.5 (the range of stakes from USD 0.25 to USD 25), i.e. -20%, which was not that pleasant. But immediately after 100 hands I made several stakes for USD 1 each and almost after I received a full, that is why my loss decreased to USD 3. On the whole, the results were not successful, but there also no crucial too.

The second mobile casino game, accordingly, was the blackjack, which Microgaming calls “classical” – the European blackjack (the dealer does not check the blackjack, the player may draw to split aces). The game was again very plain, namely, maximum losses at a time were only four, winnings were five, I was fluctuating in the black and in the hole, but as the result I won USD 5 at the stake of USD 2 (alack, this is the minimum stake). Such winnings appeared due to the great amount of blackjacks – there were nine! So, there were 45 winnings, 51 losses, 4 even outs, doublings 5 won 4 lost.

The gain speaks about the fact that the game is hardly twisted against the player, there was help with the blackjacks, 4 even outs less than the norm, but they have proportionally dispensed between gains and losses, generally – it is Ok.

In fact, in comparison with the other casinos, this was the most unsuccessful casino game, but nevertheless I almost broke even. I don’t have any claims to the honesty. But I can remind of a great advantage of Ladbrokes i.e. winnings withdrawal of any amounts to the credit card. I must also say that the Spin3 software mobile casino has very nice graphics and the most convenient interface – operating is possible with the joystick and with the keys on a digital keyboard. There is no need in pressing the key after each dealing, especially if you don’t change the amount of the bet. The game speed is normal, I spent about half an hour for 100 hands in every game. The total traffic during the game made about 300 Kb.

Except for the two abovementioned mobile games Spin3 offers a few more, they may be loaded from the online casino website.

So, in my opinion Spin3 developed a good mobile casino platform for wagering on the go – nice graphics, perfect interface, fair casino games. There are several different casinos to choose from. I would repeat that the software in different casinos will be the same, that is why you should make your choice according to additional parameters – depositing and winnings withdrawal options, mobile casino bonuses, customer support etc. Personally I would recommend mobile casinos with this software!
