Freshman Sire Recorder Off The Mark at Lyon-Parilly

Montfort et Preaux sire Recorder (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) became the latest European freshman off the mark when Finn Blichfeldt's 21-10 favourite Hot Queen (Fr) shed maiden status with an all-the-way win in Monday's Prix des Iris over 1350 metres at Lyon-Parilly.

1st-Lyon-Parilly, €18,000, Cond, 6-28, 2yo, 6 3/4fT, 1:26.21, sf.
HOT QUEEN (FR) (f, 2, Recorder {GB}–Hot Fudge {Swe} {Ch. Grass Mare-Sca, Ch. Older Mare-Sca & SP-Nor}, by Lomitas {GB}) hit the board in her two latest starts, including a June 8 last-out second over six furlongs at Saint-Cloud, and made a sharp getaway to establish a clear lead by halfway in this fourth outing. Allowed an inch of rein passing the quarter-mile marker, the 21-10 favourite came under increased pressure for a period and kept on strongly in the closing stages to easily hold Alromy (Fr) (Al Wukair {Ire}) by a geared-down three lengths, becoming the first winner for her freshman sire (by Galileo {Ire}). She is the latest of eight foals and fifth scorer produced by the stakes-placed dual Scandinavian champion distaffer Hot Fudge (Swe) (Lomitas {GB}). The March-foaled chestnut hails from a family featuring G1 Dubai Duty Free-winning sire Right Approach (GB) (Machiavellian), dual Classic heroine Highclere (GB) (Queen's Hussar {GB}) and the latter's MGSW daughter and blue hen Height of Fashion (Fr) (Bustino {GB}). Lifetime Record: 4-1-1-1, €19,800. Video, sponsored by TVG.

Trainers In Maryland Warned About Use Of Amicar

The Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association has released a statement regarding the use of anti-bleeding medications for racehorses in training. Horsemen are encouraged to stop the use of these drugs immediately, particularly the use of aminocaproic acid, sold under the name Amicar.

Amicar and other anti-bleeding medications are used to prevent bleeding from horses that suffer from Exercise Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage (EIPH).

Amicar and multiple other anti-bleeding medications were placed on the Prohibited List in 2013 under Association of Racing Commissioners International Uniform Classification Guidelines for Foreign Substances.

These medications were placed on this list because they cannot be regulated by withdrawal time guidelines, and the medications have no timeline in which they can be used in which they might not trigger a positive test post-race.

Any trainer who uses these medications runs the risk of his or her horse coming back with a positive drug test post-race.

McCarthy, Centeno Avoid Serious Injury In Los Alamitos Spill

Jockeys Trevor McCarthy and Alexis Centeno escaped injury after being involved in a scary incident in Sunday's fourth race at Los Alamitos in Cypress, Calif.

Sherlock, Centeno's mount in the race for 2-year-old maidens bred or sired in California, broke fast from his outside post, but steadily veered in sharply and crashed into Creative Peak, who had broken from the inside under McCarthy.

Both McCarthy, who had won the third race aboard Prince Magician, and Centeno were sent to nearby Long Beach Memorial for evaluation and were later released. Both riders were conscious and alert after the mishap.

Sherlock, a son of Stay Thirsty owned in partnership by breeder Terry Lovingier and trained by Walther Solis, crashed over the rail, ran through the infield and jumped the inner rail in the stretch before being corralled. He suffered some scrapes and cuts on his left side, according to Los Alamitos steward Tom Ward. Creative Peak, a Creative Cause colt owned by Heinz Steinmann and trained by Jeff Metz, was examined by veterinarian Dr. Dana Stead and escaped uninjured.

Racing resumes Friday at Los Alamitos. Post time is 1 p.m.

How To Play Online Bingo

Playing online Bingo is one the most entertaining things one can do while surfing on the Net. The game is really simple to learn and the fun never ends. You will find that playing bingo is more than just trying to win all the time – though winning is a big part of this fun game. When you play online bingo, you not only get to win huge prizes but you also get to meet many new friends.

One of the major reasons why people love to play online bingo is because players there are totally different to those ‘sharks’ found in poker rooms. Bingo players are much more friendly, welcoming and encouraging. Instead of trying to deceive and outwit you, your online buddies are more likely to congratulate you, and share in the excitement of your victories.

Here’s how to play online bingo:
The first thing you’ll need to do is find a suitable online bingo website. I like to refer my readers to one of the most unique internet sites available, http://www.bingodrome.com. I’ve always had good time at Bingodrome, and therefore would recommend this site to everyone else.

Once you’ve found a site to play online bingo, you’ll need to register an account.
Some cyber bingo sites offer bonuses to new members. At Bingodrome you’ll receive $5 for free when you sign-up. To claim this $5 no-deposit bonus all you need to do is register, and there are no deposits or credit card details required.

To begin playing an online bingo game you’ll need to buy cards. If you choose to play at Bingodrome you will be able to buy up to 50 bingo cards.

When the game begins you’ll notice that the numbers on your bingo cards are automatically marked off.

The object of a bingo game is to have all the highlighted numbers marked off. If you’ve managed to cross off all the highlighted numbers on one bingo ticket you’ll be a winner!

There is one twist though – you need to do this before anyone else does. The first bingo player to have all their highlighted numbers crossed off is the winner!
