A winner of the Godolphin Stable Staff Award's Community Award, O'Keeffe has spent over three decades working in racing, and she also has a strong background in the education sector. O'Keeffe is marred to trainer Jed O'Keeffe and is based in Middleham.

“I am delighted to have been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Racing to School and look forward to supporting the fantastic work of this charity to inspire and engage with young people, introducing them to our sport,” said O'Keeffe.

Dutton works as a solicitor specialising in corporate and commercial law, with a strong equestrian background. Representing Wales, she won the Royal International Horse Show and also competed at the Horse of the Year Show. Dutton is also a member of the BHA Rules Committee.

“I feel privileged to be joining Racing to School as a Trustee,” added Dutton. “I care deeply about increasing access to education and sports and am passionate about horseracing and all equestrian sports. I believe they are a real force for good and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to its exceptional mission.”

The charity's board is comprised of 10 members drawn from across racing, wider sport and education and governance sectors.

William Sporborg, who was announced as the new Chair of Jockey Club Estates at the end of 2022, has been appointed to The Jockey Club's Board of Stewards, while Peter Stanley and Justin Dowley are both stepping down from the Board of Stewards. In 2023, The Jockey Club Board of Stewards consists of:

Sporborg's new role will begin on Jan. 1, 2023, and he was also appointed a Steward of The Jockey Club.  A former amateur jockey, Newmarket-based Sporborg is a chartered accountant. He has worked in private equity, venture capital and private companies over the last 30, and is currently Managing Partner at Managing Capital, LLP. He has also served on the race committees at Huntingdon and Newmarket almost continuously since 2003.

Richard Pilkington, the Chairman of Nottingham Racecourse, is the new Director of the Jockey Club Estates. He joins former trainer and bloodstock agent John Ferguson who has also recently taken up a post as a Jockey Club Estates director.

Sandy Dudgeon, Senior Steward of The Jockey Club, said, “I would like to welcome William Sporborg as the new Chair of Jockey Club Estates. William brings a wide-ranging experience to the role, which is vital with the large portfolio of property and land managed by Jockey Club Estates.

“In addition, I would also like to welcome John Ferguson and Richard Pilkington to the board of Jockey Club Estates. These roles involve a considerable sacrifice of time, and I am pleased we have two such distinguished people willing to do so.
