Botti France picked up lot 7, a colt by New Bay (GB) out of Cajamarca (Fr) (Amico Fritz {Ger}). Sold by Razza del Velino, the relative of Holy Moon (Ire) (Hernando {Ire}) and her bevy of five stakes winners led by G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine and Arc runner-up Sea Of Class (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), was knocked down for €90,000.

First-season sire Magna Grecia (Ire) already has seven winners among them Listed Prix Yacowlef hero Myconian (Ire) to his name, and Scuderia Incolinx shelled out €100,000 for a son of the Coolmore stallion (lot 10) and the Mr. Greeley mare Ceoldrama. From the Nedo Giudici draft, the colt is a half-brother to listed winner Teresa Mendoza (Ire) (Territories {Ire}), who has been placed three times at the group level.

Saxon Warrior (Jpn), who sired his seventh stakes winner on Friday, was the sire of lot 17, a colt out of the Excellent Art (GB) mare Epica (Ire), who was placed twice at listed level. Offered by Razza Vedano, the colt joined the Scuderia Incolinx fold for €80,000.

Fresh off siring his second Group 1 winner in Regional (GB) at Haydock on Saturday, Territories (Ire) was also the sire of note of a filly out of Pardon (GB) (Kyllachy {GB}) (lot 28) during Saturday's session. She sold to Giotti Simone for €70,000 from the Razza del Sole consignment.

Bozzi also struck for seven other lots on Saturday, shelling out €90,000 for another Vedano draftee in lot 25, a son of Sea The Stars (Ire) out of Listed Premio Terme di Merano heroine Orange Sun (GB) (Duke Of Marmalade {Ire}). Also from Vedano was lot 15, the Zoffany (Ire) colt Interstellar (Ity), out of the Group 3-placed Irene Watts (GB) (Miswaki Tern), who hammered for €100,000 to Micchiche' Gaetano. He is a half-brother to Il Grande Gatsby (Ire) (Churchill {Ire}), who has won at the listed level in Italy and ran third in the G3 Premio Parioli.

The sale got off to a fast start with lot 4, a colt by Holy Roman Emperor (Ire) out of Listed Criterium Femminile victress Biz Bar (GB) (Tobougg {GB}), making €85,000 from Antonio Caracciolo. The bay's sire was also responsible for the smart G2 Clipper Logistics Boomerang Mile hero Jadoomi (Fr) in Ireland on Saturday. From the Allevamento Le.Gi. consignment, the colt is a half-brother to six black-type horses, anchored by G1 Gran Premio di Milano scorer Biz The Nurse (Ire) (Oratorio {Ire}), and the group winners Misterious Boy (Ire) (Arcano {Ire}) and Biz Power (Ire) (Power {GB}).

Another Coolmore sire was in the limelight shortly thereafter, as lot 12, a Le.Gi.-consigned filly by Wootton Bassett (GB) named Snow Roses (Ity) caught the eye of Powerstown Stud at €70,000. She had passed through the Arqana December ring for €85,000 as a foal. Razza del Sole offered Milano City (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}) (lot 22) on Saturday, and Valfredo Valiani snapped up the son of dual listed winner Mujadil Lachy (GB) (Kyllachy {GB}) for €75,000. His well-related dam is a half-sister to a trio of stakes winners led by G3 Premio Tudini and G3 Premio Omenoni scorer Titus Shadow (Ire) (Titus Livius {Fr}).

From a catalogue of 158, 135 yearlings went through the ring, with 92 (68.1%) finding new homes for a gross of €1,852,500. The average increased to €20,136 (+7.4%), however the median dipped 16.7% to €10,000.

Trying 2200 metres for the first time, the 7-1 chance broke from gate 10 and pressed the pace set by Zelandia (Fr) (Olympic Glory {Ire}) from the bell. A half-length back in second as the field entered the turn, she had dead aim on the pacesetter with a half-mile remaining. Asked to quicken down the straight, she stuck her neck in front a quarter mile from home and withstood all comers to win comfortably. Cima Star (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) closed to take second, 3/4 of a length in front of Anoush (Ger) (Isfahan {Ger}) with Sopran Basilea (Ire) (Night Of Thunder {Ire}) a nose back in fourth. It was another 2 ½ lengths to the 6-5 crowd's pick Invite (Ire) (The Gurkha {Ire}), who was held up at a crucial stage, in fifth.

Yet to taste defeat, Eulaila graduated at first asking going 1800 metres in Milan on Oct. 18, and returned at three to take a Rome 2000-metre contest by a half-length on Apr. 5. Her last start prior to the Oaks was a one-length win going that trip in Rome on May 2.

Eulaila is the first Classic winner for the 2009 G1 Prix Morny winner Arcano (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}), who is making the most of his opportunities in Italy, with 17 stakes winners, seven at the group level, to date.

A dual winner and second in the Listed Premio Criterium Femminile, Eubea foaled an Arcano colt in 2017 and Eulaila, her last known produce, is her second. The second dam, Egesia (GB) (Kaldoun {Fr}), a two-time Italian listed winner, also threw the stakes-placed Einstein (Ity) (Lando {Ger}) and the Group 3-placed Everarda (Ger) (Singspiel {Ire}), herself the dam of Italian stakes winner Donna Prassede (Ity) (Manduro {Ger}) and the stakes placed Epsom (Ity) (Gladiatorus).

Eulaila's great granddam is the G2 Premio Principe de Amedeo third Heil (GB) (Star Appeal {Ire}), a half-sister to G2 Prix de l'Opera heroine Hortensia (Fr) (Luthier {Fr}).
