Shaken up soon after passing the two pole, the 14-5 chance rallied gamely when headed by Quindiano (Fr) (Elvstroem {Aus}) with a furlong remaining and outbattled that rival in the closing stages to score by a short neck, becoming the first winner for his Haras d’Etreham-based freshman sire (by Redoute’s Choice {Aus}). The February-foaled bay is the latest of seven foals and fifth winner produced by an unraced half-sister to G1 Champion S.-winning sire Literato (Fr) (Kendor {Fr}). His second dam La Cibeles (Fr) (Cardoun {Fr}) ran third in the G3 Prix Fille de l’Air and is a daughter of stakes-winning multiple Spanish champion Douberta (Fr) (Don Roberto).
