Churchill Downs Incorporated has signed an agreement to sell 115.7 acres of land near Calder Casino for $291 million or approximately $2.5 million per acre. CDI has agreed to sell the land to Link Logistics, one of the premier owners of logistics real estate assets, established in 2019 by Blackstone.

The closing of the sale of the property is subject to the satisfaction of various closing conditions. The Company anticipates closing the sale of the property in the first half of 2022.

Following the closing of this transaction, CDI will retain ownership of approximately 54 acres of the current 170-acre parcel of land on which the Company's wholly-owned Calder Casino sits.

Calder opened May 6, 1971. Owned by Churchill Downs, Inc., it leased its horse racing operations to The Stronach Group and was rebranded as Gulfstream Park West from 2014 through 2020. The South Florida racetrack was closed last fall.

Anne D. Scott's multiple stakes-winning gelding Galleon Mast, unraced since Labor Day, gets the chance to end one streak and continue another when he makes his return in Saturday's $60,000 Millions Turf Preview at Gulfstream Park West.

The 1 1/16-mile Turf Preview for 3-year-olds and up is one of two Florida-bred grass stakes on the nine-race program, joined by the $60,000 Juvenile Fillies Turf going one mile. First race post time is 12:35 p.m.

Galleon Mast has yet to win a race in five scattered starts this year, all in stakes, with one second and three thirds. The 7-year-old has won at least once in each of his first five seasons, including back-to-back editions of the Turf Preview at Gulfstream West, where he has three wins and a second from seven career ties.

“It's been a little frustrating this year,” trainer David Fawkes said. “I gave him a lot of time and when he came back I don't think he got back into his game like I thought he would. But, I'll tell you what. Right now, he's as good as I've ever seen him. He's put weight on. Everything's great about what he's doing.”

<ins data-revive-zoneid="166" data-revive-id="b284fa4ee2b53b5c0fb16aa42e76910a"></ins>

Galleon Mast won the 2018 Turf Preview by a nose and last year's edition by a head. He hasn't won since, finishing second in the Soldier's Dancer in June and third in the Jan. 18 Sunshine Millions Turf, July 25 Mecke and Sept. 7 Mr. Steele, all at Gulfstream.

“He's training excellent. I'm really excited about running him,” Fawkes said. “He's doing really, really good.”

Galleon Mast has been first or second in 23 of 38 career races, 10 of them wins, with eight thirds and $657,370 in purse earnings. Second in the 2018 Canadian Turf (G3) during the Championship Meet, he has shown Fawkes no signs of slowing down.

“We always spaced his races out pretty good. At the same time, the way things have been going this year there's been races I've wanted to run him in and haven't had the opportunity,” Fawkes said. “His longevity is incredible. He's been with me for so long. He's a real cool horse. It'd be great to win this race a third time.”

Paco Lopez, aboard for each of his previous Turf Preview wins, rides back from Post 7 in a field of 10.

Michael Dubb and Bethlehem Stables' Muggsamatic beat Galleon Mast by a length in the Soldier's Dancer and returns as one of two horses entered by trainer Mike Maker, along with Second Mate. Muggsamatic, 6, is a 10-time career winner exiting a third-place effort Sept. 16 at Kentucky Downs.

Eccentric Club Racing Stable's Second Mate finished off the board in a one-mile optional claiming allowance Oct. 29 at Gulfstream West behind Max K.O., who also returns in the Turf Preview. Another 7-year-old gelding who, like Galleon Mast, is by Mizzen Mast, Second Mate was beaten a head and neck when third in last year's Turf Preview.

Network Stables' Sir Seamus had a three-race win streak snapped when fourth in an off-the-turf optional claiming allowance going 1 1/8 miles Sept. 12 at Gulfstream. The 4-year-old gelding has won four of six starts since trainer Carlos David – who won two stakes at Gulfstream West last weekend – claimed him from Maker for $16,000 in February.

“He's not easy to train but I think we've got his number, and he's done well. He's been amazing. His second start for us he didn't run well. He got a little bumped around the turn and he just kind of gave up that day,” David said. “He might have twisted his knee a little bit or something, because he was a little sore the next day. But after that we did a little work with him and he won three in a row.

“They were cheaper races, but he had great numbers,” he added. “He likes to be on the lead and he's very hard to rate, so if you're going to have a horse pressing him he's going to have a hard time. He's won at a mile and a sixteenth before, and if we get a good trip he should be able to do it.”

Rancho Alegre's 3-year-old Monforte has yet to race at Gulfstream West but is six-for-11 lifetime including a victory in the 7 ½-furlong Bear's Den Sept. 5 and has won four of five starts since being claimed for $35,000 by trainer Ruben Gracida last fall.

Scraps, winner of the 2019 Bear's Den, Hero Up, Sassy But Smart and Venezuelan Hug complete the field.

Homebreds Quinoa Tifah and Sweet Souper Sweet, both exiting stakes wins on different surfaces, will get the chance to match that feat on the grass when they square off in Saturday's $60,000 Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Arindel's Quinoa Tifah will be stretching out to her longest distance yet, having most recently won the seven-furlong Our Dear Peggy by three lengths in front-running fashion Sept. 26 at Gulfstream Park, a race originally carded for the grass but contested over a sloppy and sealed main track. The Gemologist filly broke her maiden on the dirt in April and was fifth in the 5 ½-furlong Bolton Landing in her turf debut Aug. 19 at Saratoga.

The Bolton Landing was also the lone turf start for Live Oak Plantation's Sweet Souper Sweet, who finished sixth. The daughter of First Samurai is unbeaten in two starts on the synthetic surface at Presque Isle Downs, breaking her maiden June 27 and sprinting to a 2 ¼-length victory in the 6 ½-furlong Presque Isle Debutante Oct. 5.

Also coming off a victory is Palm Beach Racing Partnership's Viva La Reina, who put away her foes early and kept on for a 1 ¼-length maiden special weight triumph Oct. 17 at Gulfstream West, a race moved from the turf to a fast main track. Samy Camacho, up for that start, gets the return call from Post 1.

“I was actually impressed with the way she handled the dirt that day. I knew she had talent because she worked amazing from the gate and on the dirt, but the distance was a little bit challenging going seven-eighths for the first time,” trainer Carlos David said. “She pulled it off and she did it going away, so I was very impressed by that. And I'm thinking she's going to be even better on the turf and with the mile.”

Viva La Reina has breezed over the turf course at Palm Meadows, Gulfstream's satellite training facility in Palm Beach County, since her maiden score. She is by Animal Kingdom, winner of the 2011 Kentucky Derby (G1) and 2013 Dubai World Cup and runner-up in the 2012 Breeders' Cup Mile (G1).

“If I were to enter her in a race going six furlongs on the dirt, I think she would have been impressive anyway and she would have gotten a better number,” David said. “So, we're going to give her this race on the grass because she's well-bred for it and I think she can handle the distance.”

Also entered are Beach Chick, Double Blessed, Emirates Affair, Inthewinnerscircle, Special Inclusion, Tantalizing Gal and Yafa.

Five Stakes on Saturday's Millions Preview program at Gulfstream Park West will highlight the six-race sequence of the 20-cent Rainbow 6.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $175,000 Saturday after the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the eighth consecutive racing day Friday, when multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $702.74.

The $60,000 Millions Classic Preview, the first of five consecutive stakes, will kick off the Rainbow 6 sequence in Race 4. Noble Drama, a multiple-stakes winner with nearly $600,000 in career earnings has been installed as the even-money favorite for the mile stakes for Florida-bred 3-year-olds and up. The David Fawkes trainee will seek his third-straight stakes victory after capturing the Wildcat Heir and Benny The Bull in his two most recent starts. Garter and Tie, a multiple-stakes winner who finished second in the Wildcat Heir, is among the most serious threats to Noble Drama.

<ins data-revive-zoneid=23 data-revive-id="b284fa4ee2b53b5c0fb16aa42e76910a"></ins>

<ins data-revive-zoneid=177 data-revive-id="b284fa4ee2b53b5c0fb16aa42e76910a"></ins>

Briella is scheduled to chase her third straight victory in the $60,000 Juvenile Fillies Sprint in Race 5, a 6 ½-furlong sprint for Florida-bred 2-year-old fillies. Trainer Michael Yates' homebred daughter of Cajun Breeze defeated open company in a first-level optional claiming allowance over the Gulfstream Park West track. Carlos David-trained Shea D Summer was installed as the 9-5 favorite off an impressive debut victory at Gulfstream Park West Oct. 7.

Shivaree, the 2020 Curlin Florida Derby (G1) runner-up, is ready to make his first start since finishing off the board in the Aug. 7 Travers Stakes (G1) at Saratoga in the $60,000 Millions Sprint Preview, a six-furlong dash for Florida-bred 3-year-olds and up carded as Race 7. The Ralph Nicks trainee is 1-for-1 at Gulfstream Park West, where he broke his maiden by nearly 10 lengths nearly a year ago. Larry Bates-trained With Verve, who defeated Shivaree by a neck while winning the Hutcheson at Gulfstream in February. Kelly Breen-trained As Seen On Tv, who finished third in the Fountain of Youth (G2) at Gulfstream in February, returns to Gulfstream Park West, where he won the Juvenile Sprint last year.

Real Talk, a sharp debut winner at Gulfstream, has been installed as the 2-1 morning-line favorite for the $60,000 Juvenile Sprint, a 6 ½-furlong sprint for Florida-bred 2-year-olds. Nicks-trained Real Talk romped by six lengths in his Sept. 6 debut despite running into traffic in the stretch. Yates-trained Poppy's Pride will seek his third-straight win after capturing the off-the-turn Armed Forces Stakes last time out.

Peter Walder-trained Cory Gal, a six-length optional claiming allowance winner last time out, has been installed as the 2-1 morning-line favorite for the $60,000 Millions Distaff Preview, a seven-furlong event for Florida-bred fillies and mares carded as Race 8. Cory Gal was claimed for $25,000 out of a victory in her previous start. Saffie Joseph Jr.-trained Sound Machine, an open-stakes winner, is scheduled to make her first start at Gulfstream Park West after finishing third in the Miss Preakness (G3) at Pimlico in her most recent start. Terri Pompay-trained Heiressall, who finished second in last year's Millions Distaff Preview, enters this year's running off a victory in the seven-furlong Sheer Drama at Gulfstream.

A mile maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds will wrap up the Rainbow 6 sequence in Race 9.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot pool is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Bettors will have an opportunity to get lucky on a special Friday the 13th edition of the Stronach 5 with races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park West and Golden Gate Fields.

Beginning at approximately 3:24 p.m. EST, the Stronach 5 will once again feature an industry-low 12-percent takeout.

Laurel will kick off the Stronach 5 with three consecutive racing starting in Race 7, a waiver maiden claimer for 2-year-olds sprinting seven furlongs that attracted a field of 12 juveniles led by 9-5 program favorite Hello Hot Rod from the red-hot barn of trainer Brittany Russell.

The sequence continues in Race 8, a starter optional claimer for 3-year-olds and up going six furlongs where Nomo Ron, a last out winner at the track and distance, is the 5-2 top choice in a field of nine, and Laurel's Race 9 finale, a maiden claiming event for 3-year-olds and up at about 1 1/16 miles.

Noble Drama's accomplishments may pale in comparison to those of his kin, but Harold Queen's homebred 5-year-old gelding has carved out quite a profitable niche for himself.

Out of Queen Drama, a half-sister to 2010 Eclipse Award-winning sprinter Big Drama and a full sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Sheer Drama, Noble Drama has established himself as a dominating force in the Florida-bred ranks, amassing nearly $600,000 in purse earnings during a 22-race career that includes five stakes wins and 10 stakes placings.

The David Fawkes-trained son of Gone Astray will seek to continue his dominance in Saturday's $60,000 Millions Classic Preview, a mile event for Florida-bred 3-year-olds and up on the nine-race Sunshine Millions Preview card at Gulfstream Park West that include four other stakes.

“Hopefully, this will be the steppingstone to the next one. He's doing really good,” said Fawkes, referring to the $100,000 Sunshine Millions Classic at Gulfstream Park Jan. 16.

<ins data-revive-zoneid="166" data-revive-id="b284fa4ee2b53b5c0fb16aa42e76910a"></ins>

Noble Drama enters the Classic Preview in career-best form, coming off back-to-back victories at Gulfstream in the Sept. 6 Benny The Bull at seven furlongs and the Sept. 26 FSS Wildcat Heir at a mile around one turn.

“He's been really good to us recently,” Fawkes said. “He's gotten older and smarter and he really likes what he's doing.”

In the Benny The Bull, Noble Drama overcame bumping at the start and rallied from seventh to win going away by 2 ½ lengths. In the Wildcat Heir, he settled in mid-pack before kicking in through the stretch to win by a length.

The very versatile gelding has won multiple stakes around two turns, including a victory in the 1 1/8-mile Sunshine Millions Classic last year.

“He beat some nice horses last time. He's really turned into a decent horse. You'd love to have a barn full of horses like him,” Fawkes said.

Emisael Jaramillo has the return mount aboard Noble Drama.

Jacks or Better Farm's Garter and Tie, one of the nice horses beaten by Noble Drama in the Wildcat Heir, is scheduled to return in the Classic Preview. The 4-year-old son of Brooks 'n Down made a big move on the turn into the homestretch before making a strong stretch drive, in which he closed the gap from 3 ½ lengths to a length in the final eighth of a mile.

“We've met Noble Drama four times and he's beaten us three times,” trainer Ralph Nicks said. “So, we'll have to improve.”

The Nicks trainee was stakes-placed in his previous two starts despite encountering trouble at the start of both races. He rallied to finish second behind heavily favored Cool Arrow in the Opening Lead before checking in third behind Noble Drama in the Wildcat Heir.

“He's doing well. The only thing with him is: his two-turn races haven't been as good as his one-turn races,” Nicks said. “That's always a question with him. We'll see what happens.

Edgard Zayas has the mount aboard Garter and Tie, who broke his maiden in the 2018 FSS Affirmed and has won two other stakes.

Equine Authority Inc.'s Red Crescent is set to title defense in the Millions Classic Preview, which he won by 1 ½ lengths last year. The 6-year-old son of Overdriven went on to finish second behind Noble Drama in the Sunshine Millions Classic, but is winless in five starts this year. The John Vinson-trained gelding finished fifth last time out in the Benny The Bull, in which he faded after stalking the pace while coming off a two-month layoff.

In his two prior starts, he finished third behind victorious Eye of a Jedi, finishing 1 ¾ lengths behind runner-up Noble Drama in the Sea of Tranquility and finished a length behind runner-up and multiple-stakes winner Diamond Oops in an optional claiming allowance.

Samy Camacho has the mount aboard Red Crescent.

Raymond Mamone's Debbie's Passion, IAB Stables and Walter Fralick's Quenane round out the field.

Beginning at approximately 3:58, the Stronach 5 will once again feature an industry-low 12-percent takeout.

The Stronach 5 begins at Gulfstream West with the eighth race, a $43,000 allowance optional claimer over 7 ½ furlongs on the turf that has attracted a dozen fillies and mares. The field includes a pair from the Mark Casse barn in Pardon My Heart and Dynatown as well as the stakes placed Pugilist.

Laurel Park's seventh race is next, a 5 ½ furlong event for Maryland-sired or Maryland-bred fillies and mares. The field includes Odd Gal, winner last time out of the Maryland Million Distaff Starter Handicap, and Kiss the Girl, second in the 2019 Schuylerville (G3) who races for the first time for trainer Mike Trombetta.

The third leg of the sequence will be the first race from Golden Gate, a maiden special weight event for California breds. The field includes Zagrah, a 3-year-old filly by Dansili making her third start in the U.S., and Eddie's Sister, a daughter of Square Eddie from the barn of trainer Jonathan Wong.

Gulfstream West's ninth race, a six furlong, allowance optional claiming event will be the Stronach 5's fourth leg. The race has attracted Man of Honor, second in three consecutive races, Septemberten, first or second in four of his last five starts, and Ikeisgreat, a 6 ½-length winner of his last against starter allowance company.

The sequence ends with Laurel's eighth race, a very competitive mile event for maidens 3 and up. The morning-line favorite at 4-1 is Galilean Moon.

A mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 pool has been scheduled for Saturday's program at Gulfstream Park West.

Heading into Friday's program, the popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for seven consecutive programs following a $249,204 jackpot hit on Oct. 18. Multiple tickets with five out of six winners Thursday were each worth $843.22 Thursday.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $175,000 for Friday's program.

<ins data-revive-zoneid=23 data-revive-id="b284fa4ee2b53b5c0fb16aa42e76910a"></ins>

<ins data-revive-zoneid=177 data-revive-id="b284fa4ee2b53b5c0fb16aa42e76910a"></ins>

The carryover jackpot is usually only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool. However, on mandatory payout days the whole pool is paid out to the bettor or bettors holding tickets with the most winners in the six-race sequence.

Friday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 3-8, kicked off by a mile optional claiming allowance on turf for state-bred 3-year-olds and up in Race 3. Sassy But Smart, who was beaten by less than two lengths in a fourth-place finish in the Palm Beach (G3) during the Championship Meet, and Till the End, who has been 1-2-3 in last four starts at the level, appear to be the key contenders. Race 4 features a six-furlong sprint for $50,000 maiden claiming 2-year-old fillies. Terry's Dream, a daughter of Jess's Dream who finished second in her recent debut, will be taken on by a pair of first-time starters by California Chrome and Not This Time, and four others. A five-furlong turf dash for Florida-bred fillies and mares follows in Race 5, featuring the return of Daddy's Joy, who graduated in her first start for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. in her first start at Gulfstream Park last time out. In only her third career start, the daughter of Daddy Long Legs will concede considerable experience to her eight rivals.

A seven-furlong maiden special weight race for fillies and mares will start off the second half of the Rainbow 6 sequence in Race 6. Todd Pletcher-trained Abilene Trail, a 3-year-old daughter of Curlin, will return from a 13-month layoff while facing five rivals, including Eddie Plesa Jr.-trained Cozy Café, who finished a troubled third in her recent debut. The Rainbow 6 sequence will be wrapped up with a mile race for $8,000 claimers in Race 8 and a 1 1/16-mile turf race for $16,000 maiden claimers, 3-year-olds and up, in Race 9

Slam Dunk Racing's Drain the Clock stayed undefeated Wednesday at Gulfstream Park West, scoring a length victory in the featured optional claiming allowance for 2-year-olds,

The Saffie Joseph Jr.-trained colt had to work a little harder to prevail over stablemate Worlds On High in the six-furlong sprint than he did in his Sept. 12 debut at Gulfstream Park, where he scored a front-running six-length victory.

Drain the Clock broke alertly but settled just off the early pace contested by Tiger and Worlds On High past fractions of 22.08 and 45.21 seconds for the first half-mile. The son of Maclean's Music swung three-wide off the turn into the homestretch and mounted an extended stretch drive to overtake Worlds on High, who is trained by Joseph for Don and Rebecca Ming.

“He sat off there nicely and came under some pressure at the quarter-pole. I thought once he switched leads late by the three-eighths pole, he started going away,” Joseph said. “It was a workmanlike performance. Hopefully, he'll continue to build on that.”

<ins data-revive-zoneid="166" data-revive-id="b284fa4ee2b53b5c0fb16aa42e76910a"></ins>

Drain the Clock ($4.20) ran six furlongs in 1:10.67. Samy Camacho picked up the mount from leading rider Edgard Zayas, whose wife gave birth to their second daughter Wednesday.

Drain the Clock is expected to run in a stakes next time out.

Joseph was also extremely pleased with the performance of Worlds On High, who had debuted with a victory in a Sept. 18 $50,000 maiden claiming race at Gulfstream.

“He's a big trier. Today, he really ran big,” Joseph said. “I think World On High is a really nice horse also. He wasn't far off today.”

Worlds On High, who was ridden by apprentice Alberto Burgos, finished 1 ¾ lengths clear of third-place finisher The Distractor.
