Arqana first sponsored the race in 2020, the year it was introduced to the Naas Flat calendar. This year's renewal takes the Deauville auction house and racetrack's association into a fourth year. The five-furlong listed contest for 2-year-old fillies carries an increased purse of €50,000 and is one of the feature races on the card at the Naas Summer Racing and BBQ Evening on July 26.

A stepping stone to the Oaks at Epsom, the Blue Wind has thrown high-class winners in recent years, including multiple Group 1 winner Tarnawa (Ire) (Shamardal).

Al Shira'aa Racing is headed by Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and managed by Kieran Lalor. Al Shira'aa Racing have horses in training in Ireland with Ger Lyons and Willie McCreery, in France with Carlos Laffon Parias and Pascal Bary, and in the USA with Christophe Clement and Neil Drysdale. The inaugural Marwell S., contested in early August 2020, was won by the Ken Condon-trained Miss Amulet (Ire) (Sir Prancealot {Ire}), who won the G2 Lowther S. in her next appearance before placing in the G1 Cheveley Park Stud S. and in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies' Turf.

The announcement comes ahead of next week's Arqana Breeze-Up Sale, which has been relocated from Deauville to Doncaster due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Like The Goffs Million, the continent's richest 2-year-old race, the Goffs Sportsman's Challenge will pay out to tenth place. It is open exclusively to graduates of the Goffs Sportsman's Sale, which will take place at Kildare Paddocks this year from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1.

Goffs, additionally, renews its sponsorship of Naas's G3 Lacken S. on Royal Ascot Trials Day on May 16.
